Beautiful Course
Greens were recently punched and the course still played and rolled very nice. though course on certain holes but an overall great place to play.
Winter golf
While the layout is good, the policy of keeping golf carts on the path at all times throughout the entire course, becomes extremely tiresome. It also slows down play. It took 5 hours and 20 minutes for an 18 hole round. As a senior golfer, I would not recommend this course, until spring/summer, when carts are allowed near where the ball lands.
Course could use some work.
Course is definitely showing winter problems.
The staff is great. The greens look like they were just punched and sanded, making putting very inconsistent.
Cart Paths only
I saw no reason for paths only, the course was not wet. It made for a long day with a lot of long walks.
The course itself is nice with a nice layout but paths only made it very tough to play. I won’t play there again until you can drive on the course.
Too crowded
At the time of booking didn’t mentioned that it was car path only as well as it was a shot gun start.
Winter at Redhawk
Through Golfnow, price was much better. Redhawk winter rate was $65 on a Saturday. Terrible. Paid $48 through Golfnow. Double stacked shotgun start made pace of play long. No carts on fairways was a pain too. Prices seem to be on the climb in the area. Golfnow makes it less painful!
Redhawk
First time playing the hills and i enjoyed it just as much as the lakes. Great set of courses, great place
Good course
The course is in pretty good shape for this time of year!
Winter conditions
Greens were recently plugged, looks like most of them have some kind of mold/patchy. Cart path only. Fairways are in solid shape for winter. Cruised through the front 9 in less than 2 hours then it was clogged up on the back, 5 some playing in front of us. Would be nice if courses dropped the rates some for the funky greens
Red Hawk Lakes
Have played Red Hawk since it opened. Winter conditions do course was not in its best condition.
Tee Time and Staff
I had a 11:17AM tee time. They decide to pair me up with 11:26AM group. I showed the guy my reservation with Golf Now showing 11:17AM tee time. He didn't even want to see my reservation confirmation. He just stated that he's form showed 11:26AM and asked me not to make an issue out of it. Maybe an apology is warranted and asked me if I would be okay joining the 11:26AM group. Poor customer service.
Cart path only.
Courses should let us know that its cart path only before we book a tee time. Pace of play was so slow because of this. It would have been faster to walk and play with a pull cart.
Shotgun
Didn't know it was going to be shotgun. All teed off at 10:30. No horn to start play and it caused a huge backlog. Players behind us were rude and did not know golf etiquette. When on the tee box they would roll on up while you're swinging and talking. I'm not great but it did mess my round up. Could have broke 80 if it wasn't for those clowns.
Rating
Only got 4s because of the greens. They weren't bad but another week of warm weather, they Should be awesome!
