This course is overpriced for what it is. It was a little warm the day we played not a beverage cart in sight and they don’t allow you to bring own.
Late Fri tee time, Starter unfriendly, pace of play turtle slow, didnt see a Marshal once on the front 9, waited 30 mins to tee off on 10, played 3 more holes. Couldnt stand the backup, again never saw a Marshall. Left.
Expect more for a $90 green fee.
Not in as good shape as normal
Played course many times when in town. Like the track but not in good shape. Bunkers are terrible. Puddles of water, just dirt or full of rocks.
6hr round of golf anybody?
I am not usually one to complain about playing golf, even if it’s a bit slow. I get it. But EVERY TIME I play here it’s a joke! This last round (6/17/24) was a weekday and no joke it took six hours to play 18 holes! Everybody was getting impatient which lead to the foursome behind us hitting in to our group twice. The rangers do nothing to speed up play, the starter stacks everybody on top of each other. Very frustrating! Takes the fun out of the game.. glad I didn’t pay the ridiculous full price they ask.
Hills
Enjoyed playing this course. It was moderately challenging. Greens need some work and the course rough needed some care. Staff were very friendly. Would recommend this course to friends.
Very good course. Slow play.
This is a great facility. Marshall needs to speed up obviously slow players.
Redhawk Lakes Course
We booked a 7am tee time to beat the heat and weekend crowds for $114 per player. The round started fine but by hole 2 we were waiting for the group in front of us who were not skilled golfers by any measure. This continued even with the Marshall driving passed 5 or 6 times. At the turn we were 22 minutes behind pace. On hole 17 there were 12 groups waiting to tee off due to a tournament shotgun start backing up the course. It took 55 minutes to play the last two holes. Final round length was 5 hours 15 minutes.
The course was in good shape but there were quite a few burned / dry spots in the fairway and front edge of greens.
For the value I would expect a better run course and more consideration of pace of play from the Marshall. All carts have GPS tracking, there is no reason to not identify a back up and request groups to skip holes in order to accommodate golfers for the rest of the day.
Nice
It's a nice course haven't played it in awhile. The staff is always nice. The course is in good condition. It was hot, catch 22 not a lot of people because it was hot. Got off a little early nobody in front or behind. Just a nice pace we weren't getting pushed, we weren't pushing anyone.
Fast greens
Never 3 putt so many greens in my life. Fully enjoyed the round. Going back to play the lanes course in a few days.
Great course horrible staff
The staff makes it very clear that you’re not a member and really unwelcome.
