18th Holes with Clubhouse, Crotched Mountain Photo submitted by GolfMentor on 07/14/2014
first time this year, and I will return
The terrain makes this a tough play for my ability, but it is a fun course. Hope to be back many times this season.
Shot makers course
Really fun but challenging course. Need to play the course and if you bomb it but not down the middle then you’ll need a lot of golf balls. Wind can really change the par 3’s but you can make up strokes on a few holes. Great Tavern with both nice bar and restaurant. Neither the golf nor the restaurant will cost too much

Still a Fun Course Despite Disappointing Conditions
Crotched Mtn GC offers a gem of a design at a very friendly rate that's a good value if you don't mind the shabby conditions.
I just moved back to New Hampshire so I'm not sure how the conditions here compare to others in the area but there were several areas of either burnt out or diseased grass on fairways and greens that somewhat hindered the playability of this fantastic Donald Ross layout.
Players will be challenged with the old-school design with severally sloped fairways and greens in this mountain golf setting.
The staff was friendly and the $22 walking afternoon rate is hard to beat. I look forward to coming back, hopefully with some improved conditions.
Too much cross slope to be fun
On most holes if you don't hit the fairway in just the right spot you are facing a lost ball. Even if you hit the center of the fairway your ball will roll off into the woods. Not a lot of fun, especially for a first round on the course. The greens are very contoured and fast; I did like that! But getting to the green can be very frustrating. It has been a very dry year, and the course shows it and the dry conditions make the ball run-often into trouble. Come for the scenery though!

Great Val
I’ve played Crotched at least a dozen times this year. The course is in the best shape it’s ever been in. The staff his very friendly and courteous. I highly recommend anyone giving it a try. I live in Manchester and it’s less than a 40 minute drive and well worth it
TheCourse
Gut the grass while you are playing. Turn the sprinklers on in the fairway while you are playing .
Some of the greens are bad. Some tees have not much grass.Probably because of the weather.
