Crotched Mountain Resort

The course was in good shape. Need to stay on fairway as ball hard to find in the rough. Greens putted well.

Crotched Mountain is a course you have to think about how to play each hole and you just cannot take out the driver. No two fairways are the same.

For late in October in NH, the course is in great condition. One suggestion is try to hit the fairways. A few holes have some leaves in rough, and hard to find your ball.

Arrived early was made to wait until close to tee time. Only one twosome went out after waiting 40 minutes. Then we were allowed to tee off. Twosome was painfully slow had to wait on every hole, they finally let us play through on 15. Will never go back there again.

I regularly play this course. It truly is a hidden gem in this area.. The great experience ends on the 18th hole. The bar area restaurant doesn't open until noon, therefore no breakfast offerings. The wine selections are so bad, no popular wines, just some weird labels no one has ever heard of nor are they good. And what they charge for these duds is outrageous. The manager of the bar needs to brush up on the adult beverage tastes of the golfers, not his/her own ideas of what will sell.(or be fired) The non-alcohol beer selections are pretty weak too. A disappointing end to a great golfing experience.

Crotched Mountain GC is a well kept secret in NH. The setting is beautiful. The course is well maintained. The layout, while offering reasonable challenges, is interesting and fun.

The prices are very reasonable and the bar and restaurant are quite good. Play it. You’ll like it.

Tee boxes, fairways, and greens all fabulous shape. Some views are spectacular. Coming back in the fall foliage must make this place pop!

We arrived early for our tee time on a very hot Monday morning. Our tee time was for twelve noon. W got to the course at eleven am. I asked if we could tee off early and was told that the earliest time would be 11:50 despite the fact that nobody was on the first tee or anyone waiting. We got a large bucket of golf balls to pass the time and chipped and putted. Despite the fact that I did not play well. I found the corse to be very enjoyable and would play it again. My only complaint was having to wait to tee off when the first tee sat empty for over 45 minutes.

This is a very nice course to play, But part of the golf experience is heading into the clubhouse after the round for a few drinks or perhaps even a meal. During the summer months when golfers start very early to beat the heat, the bar and restaurant doesn't open until noon. I am sure they lose revenue for early players who just don't want to wait around until noon. The bar wine and non-alcohol beer selections seem to be at the whim of the bar manager. That is, they don't often have the most popular non-alcohol beer and they don't carry Kendall Jackson Chardonnay at all. They have no name selections at a ridiculous price per glass. SAD

A friend and I took a day off from work to play Crotched Mountain...BIG MISTAKE! The pro shop allowed six golfers in three carts to go off in front of us and they hacked their way around the course for hours on end. The pace of play was ridiculously slow. Add to that piles of rotting grass next to most of the greens smelling like the city dump next and you have the makings for one miserable golf outing. Clearly the pro at Crotched Mountain doesn’t care in the least what is happening on his course. Come to think of it, I know why he avoids the course...it smells awful! Save your time and money and go elsewhere!

Lots of side hill lies. Blind shots The only problem we had is that we got paired with a guy that was sooooooooo slow. If he hit a ball in the woods it became an Easter egg hunt. 5:15 round.

The holes hadn't been moved in a while evidenced by the overhanging grass in the cup.

While we had 3 opportunities from the cart girl 3 times on the front, we only saw her from afar on the back.

When I 1st arrived at the course I was amazed at the scenery, but was surprised by the ratings of the course meaning it wasnt considered difficult course, which to me was odd from previous experience with mountain course, well my apprehension was correct as the course layout was very demanding from blind tee shots to sharp dogleg and everything possible to make your experience good but difficult, the yardage of the course 6200 is by no way an indicator of its difficulty, greens were nice but hard to read, this isn't a critical review but more of a earned respectfulness, I would love to come back and play it again, as it was very enjoyable especially with the 2 other players I was matched up with, come hard if your gonna play here!

This course is in beautiful condition. Love the beautiful scenery all around this course. Very friendly staff in restaurant and outside seating.
