2nd shot on par 5 scenic hole on back 9. Photo submitted by MONH1 on 05/12/2015
Beautiful Mountain Course
Course has many great views. Interesting and challenging elevation changes which makes it play more difficult. Lots of fun. Well stocked pro shop. Friendly personnel. Spend an afternoon or a weekend.
Great time
Played 18 with a buddy of mine..a good ride for us as we're from the lakes region area but well worth the trip..the course was in great shape and the greens were fantastic , back nine plays a bit different than front with some elevation but made a nice change of pace..staff and local golfer's were excellent, looking forward to playing again there soon.!
Mountain Golf
A good course. A good golf value too.
Conditions good also.
Scenic views
Course was in very good condition. The views are very nice, from the mountains to the meandering streams. Pace of play was good, taking only three hours to play 18 holes.
Great
Great round. Back 9 was closed due to aeration but the staff was extremely flexible and allowed us to return the following day to play the back side of the course. They were more than willing to give us the round of golf we had hoped for and we really appreciated their efforts. We usually try a different course each time we are in the area but think this will become a staple part of vacation in NH.
pace of play
I love the course and it is truly senic. Back nine is really exciting and will challenge players. The only problem is they should have a ranger. When a group has several holes open in front of them, then need to pick up the pace or let players through. Fathers with youg kids should not be spending 30 minutes on a hole giving instructions. That being said I believe the value for what you get is outstanding.
Views &Value
One of the most scenic courses in the White Mountains. The Hot Value rates on GolfNow are the best value for any coarse I have ever played.
A risk/reward layout will tempt you to pull out the driver on many short par 4's. The smarter play is your favorite 180 - 220 club. You will find generous landing areas with full clubs into well protected target greens. The layout includes three par 3's which are all challanging and different with two par 5's that are reachable with well placed shots.
Great views, value and enjoyable layout.
A fun course to play.
First time we golfed this course. We had such a fun time we came back to play again two days later and are planning on coming back soon..
Pretty Good
Due to the efforts of the greens staff and the kindness of Mother Nature the course is in terrific shape for this time of year.
Why they want to keep the greens at about 5-6 on the Stimpmeter is beyond me. It would be way more pleasurable to play on normal greens.
Also they are shrinking the greens,,,,, smaller every year
better have your wedge working.
They have installed " soon to be a law suit" flimsy little bridges on the tiny brooks
All in all it is a pleasant little course to play.
It is a fun course.
We will play it again this summer. Thank you, Doug
Interesting, short course...
Was an enjoyable round of golf on the quaint course. Very short. Driver rarely necessary or smart. Target golf. Very nice club house. Greens are in pretty good shape, but very slow, which makes chipping and putting a challenge. Greens are also quite varied insofar as firmness - some accept approaches like you'd expect and others you get hard first bounce and they don't hold very well.
fun track, pretty scenery
Nice course with a fun variety of holes and pretty views of mtns and the Ellis river. The greens were a bit shaggy and spongy, but surprisingly still had decent speed.

Nice track. Not difficult but like any course you need to be smart. Driver off the tee not needed. Fairways and Greens in good shape. Nice clubhouse and has all the amenities. Flat course for the most part steep par 5 and par 3..... Fun Day ...we will be back so long as we can get a deal.
Nice scenery if your having a bad round.
Nice course
Rather short, many par 4's in lower 300 yard range. Greens rather rough and very slow. Fairways not overly plush but very playable.
Ok, but kind of expensive
I live in ct and am accustom to paying $65 for gold, but the condition of the course did not seem in line with that charge. I did enjoy many of the holes, but was surprised to see greens in need of repair, and fairways in rough shape. I am sure it would be said that they did not see much rain this summer, but they should have a better irrigation system for slow rain summers. For a short 18 course, the challenge was decent, but not crazy. I would go back, but only if there was some kind of deal.
