The Wentworth an Elegant Country Inn

Fun course to play, some challenges here and there, but moderate in difficulty. Great staff. Conditions were a result of weather, not a result of groundskeeping. Overall a great course to play.

The course is a fun tract with a few problems. The course does not hold water well so some of the fairways have bare spots and mud holes. On the whole the greens were in very good shape and many of the fairways were in good condition. It was an autumn weekday so the round took less than 3hours with a cart. The front 10 (that is not a typo) is very walkable. The last 8 requires a bit more effort to walk. The course is part of the Wentworth Resort in Jackson NH, but is not a “resort course”. It has more of a north country feel.

Staff is great, the starter "Chilly" came out and grabbed our bags while we went in to pay.

I remember playing here for my first time earlier this year, I like the golf tips on a couple of holes, very helpful.

This is an excellent course. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this course to both the novice and experienced golfer. Great views and the hospitality at Madeline’s for lunch after was second to none. Definitely a must!

Lots of fun here. Very nice public course, well maintained (a few rough spots on the back nine). Staff was very friendly,. Friday afternoon round for a 2-some in 3.5 hrs. = nice.

Kind-of funky layout, back and forth under a few roadways, over and back the picturesque covered bridge. We’d love to go back and play again.

Since the wives wanted to go shopping, they dropped us off two hours before our tee time.

The fellow checking us in said we probably couldn’t get out early because the course was jammed up,

It was very clear while on the putting green that the course was not that busy.

I went back in to the Pro Shop and a second staff member said to merely check with the starter.

Very quickly the same initial staff member came out to prevent us from teeing off early.

Now though the real reason came out.

He said we were paying a discounted rate and because of that,we wouldn’t be allowed out early.!

This is the first time I’ve experienced this on golfnow hot deals.

After all this, we thought the course was a 2 out of 5.

It’s worth a hot deal price maybe, but we’ll not be back at any price!

My wife and I enjoyed a great round of golf at Wentworth GC in Jackson, NH. We loved the varied terrain and links style holes, offering a variety of challenges. Beautiful vistas in the White Mountains Region and we even drove down easily from Bethel, ME for the afternoon.

We love Wentworth Golf Course. It is very challenging but lots of fun.

Hi we went to the course about an hour early. The course was completely open . They said we could not go out early because they did not make any money with that booking. They only got free computer software or something. Then it got close to our tee time and some other golfers showed up so then the were pushing us to go. They must of paid full price or something.

Fun course. Pretty straight forward with a few challenges thrown in. Great staff!

We love playing the friendly front 9 and the very challenging back 9. It is a beautiful place to play
