About Crystal Springs Resort
Crystal Springs Resort is a 4,000-acre playground located only an hour across the New Jersey state line from New York City. It is one of the country’s largest golf resorts with six courses - Ballyowen, Black Bear, Cascades, Crystal Springs, Minerals and Wild Turkey – and three driving ranges. The Grand Cascades Lodge houses 220 guest rooms with an inspired welcome: An outdoor putting course leading to an indoor lobby with high ceilings, wood beams and a stone fireplace. Both it and the 175-room Minerals Hotel feature their own spas and pools. Children will love the Biosphere, an indoor pool complex with an aquarium, vortex pool and caves, 140-foot waterslide and café, all in a tropical theme. Twelve restaurants are spread out among the course clubhouses and hotels, delivering a variety of menus and price points. Between the Mineral Sports Club and Adventure Center, there’s always a new activity or program to enjoy.Facts

Awesome
Awesome course, a must play! Condition was perfect!!!
Overpriced Golf Course
I was looking forward to playing Wild Turkey after reading good things. Unfortunately, the course conditions ruined the experience for me. I don't mind paying $150+ for rounds of golf, but at that price point, I expect a solidly manicured course with greens that roll true and bunkers with sand. Wild Turkey was none of those things. It's not bottom of the barrel, but the conditions were close to that of your average $30 muni. Greens were spotty/shaggy, tee boxes were uneven, sand was non-existent in bunkers. Fairways were probably the only thing that were average.
It's unfortunate because the layout and views are actually pretty good and it would be an enjoyable play if they actually took care of the course. Icing on the cake was the starter telling us the course is in fantastic shape before we teed off. He was a nice guy, but I don't know how he said it with a straight face.
Until they get a new greenskeeper, take your money elsewhere.
Way too expensive
I really do love this course, in the past I have complained about the bunkers being rocks and dirt, they’ve gotten better but they still need work. Greens are really nice and the tee boxes are in good shape for the most part. However, it’s not worth the $120 to play there. Especially when you can play Great Gorge for about $75-80. Again I really like this course and all the Crystal Springs courses but $120-140 seems steep for this place
Not Like Old Times
I hadn't played Crystal Springs in many years since it opened. The course remains generally nice but it and the grounds have matured quite a bit and are in need of a refresh. The course doesn't get the attention it should. Lots of ground under repair, cart paths are in rough shape, mostly dirt in the traps etc. The greens were pretty good and rolled at a nice pace. Overall a good day and I'd probably it play again sometime.
Extremely slow pace of play
The pace of play ruined the round, unfortunately. What was even more discouraging was the fact the rangers did not know how to improve the pace of play, even after speaking with us twice (as if we were the problem waiting on every tee box). It is very simple. You give one warning to the group(s) holding up play. If they don't improve after 2 holes you make them skip a hole (or 2). When playing premium prices, at a premium golf resort, you expect decent pace of play, or at the very least, for it to improve once the rangers recognize the issue. Very disappointing.
On top of that, there was no food available at the turn (10:30/11am). Pretty disappointing, again.
Great golf course but not always @100%
Course is great but not always up to par. Last time we played we had a cart die on 4th hole and had to wait for
Someone to bring out an another. This time out the range was closed for the first part of the morning
Beautiful
It's very hard course to play but very fun. Beautiful place and perfect view.
Beautiful layout. Scruffy tee boxes
Course gets a lot of play. It’s a little expensive. And the tee boxes are scruffy- divots and uneven. High grass on the tee. Mediocre conditions -Especially given the price. Staff is great though and the views are worth seeing
The pro shop
The guy at the pro shop was miserable and unprofessional.
Good value
Nice course in a beautiful area..we'll maintained...great 19th hole..if you can grab this for about $70 tou got a good deal
Carts seemed slow
Golf carts seemed slow and struggled to get around the course especially when a hill was involved which happens quite often.
Course is Challenging
From check in to on site amenities, this was a course that raised the required skill level needed…We were very satisfied with the experience and our dinner at the Crystal Tavern..
