Crystal Springs Resort

About Crystal Springs Resort
Crystal Springs Resort is a 4,000-acre playground located only an hour across the New Jersey state line from New York City. It is one of the country’s largest golf resorts with six courses - Ballyowen, Black Bear, Cascades, Crystal Springs, Minerals and Wild Turkey – and three driving ranges. The Grand Cascades Lodge houses 220 guest rooms with an inspired welcome: An outdoor putting course leading to an indoor lobby with high ceilings, wood beams and a stone fireplace. Both it and the 175-room Minerals Hotel feature their own spas and pools. Children will love the Biosphere, an indoor pool complex with an aquarium, vortex pool and caves, 140-foot waterslide and café, all in a tropical theme. Twelve restaurants are spread out among the course clubhouses and hotels, delivering a variety of menus and price points. Between the Mineral Sports Club and Adventure Center, there’s always a new activity or program to enjoy.Facts

Challenging course
Crystal Springs Golf Course is a beautiful course, hilly terrain so important to stay in the fairway. Hole#11 is interesting, fun and challenging. You should give it a try.
Blackbear at Crystal Springs
Very nice course, very nice atmosphere. Not over challenging. One issue was the greens. But the greens were extremely slow..
Amazing but challenging course
This was the highlight play of the year. The course is amazing but quite challenging. The views and course atmosphere are incredible. Booking again very soon.
Great Sunday
We had a 4-some, 7:20am tee time. We were able to start right away, there was a little bit of a wait throughout the round, but it went smoothly. Course was in great condition.
Always great
Great place . Greens a little shaggy but it was a Monday and they held and outing in the morning during a heat wave so completely understandable . I’ve been golfing at the resort since 2010 and never had a bad experience with staff of course .
It's an ok course for 9 holes
We went on Fathers day and my daughter and i really had fun. Only negative was that they must have had some event the night before and the facilities were beyond gross. Obviously some folks drank too much and the staff had not cleaned up yet.
SLOW PLAY . . .
Would be nice if we saw a ranger once in a while . . .
The course as always was nice however it always seems the pace of play is slow and sometimes even extra slow, the biggest issue here by far.
Did not eat. We did see the cart girl a few times.
We will be back.
Slow play
5 1/2 hours.
Rangers do nothing to speed up play.
Wild Turkey
Course was in pretty good condition after some rain couple hours before. Got a great deal on Golf Now. Golfers need to fix ball marks on soft greens, don’t understand why people can’t do this. Otherwise nice fairways and tee boxes. Beautiful setting.
Worst staff ever
The type off staff they have working there should never be in a customer service position. No help at all
most unaccommodating staff I have ever run into on a golf course
Went to Play today and we had sampler passes to use on the six crystal spring courses. Management informed us that we should’ve read the fine print because they are not available to use on a holiday so we could either pay 500+ and play or oh too bad since you didn’t cancel you’re gonna be charged over $500 for not canceling. All the manager kept saying was he was trying to help us, but there was nothing he could do pay the money and play or don’t pay the money and we’re gonna charge you anyway it was out of his hands. I’m not sure if this was the manager or the bad boy But if that’s the type of management that is at the counter and he doesn’t have the power to make any kind of decision or satisfy the golfers then it’s the worst stinking course ever. Working in the public service sector if that’s how we treated our customers I wouldn’t be surprised if I lost more customers than I gained with not having any option on how to help us out in that type of situation that particular person should never be hired in a customer service position.
Challenging and friendly course
Black Bear is a great course, with a good combination of difficult and easier holes
The course ia very nice but the pace of play was not good.
The course estimates 4 hour play, it took us 5hours and 37 minutes. We became best freinds with the group ahead and behind us waitng for the gorups ahead. We never once saw a Ranger. This could have easily been fixed. I will return though.
