Glad it’s back!!!
For just taking over in April, the course is in great shape. Are there some brown patches in fairway and a few on greens? Yes. Does it affect play? No! Layout is spectacular. Course is challenging and fun. The amenities will come in time. No restaurant, it’s BYOB and repairs are being made to clubhouse, restaurant, etc. I don’t understand the negative reviews…you’re not playing Augusta. Great job, LBI, can’t wait to return!
Lbi national
Ive played this course when it was sea oakes, it needs some time to get back to where it was, course has been closed a few years, i rated it a 3 on conditions only because it was air rated, we didnt find this out until we got on the tee box, i think we should have been told this when we booked, we all know its necessary, but wld have like to know before we teed off.
One of the best courses in South Jersey
Beautiful, challenging course. Will play it again and again.
Good course
The course is very challenging, it's very links like with many moguls and fairway bunkers. The Greens and tee boxes were in great shape. The staff are pleasant enough. The problems are the ball machine was broken so you have to scoop your own bucket of balls for the range. Also, there is no food on the course. There's no restaurant on site or bar. We found a club on the course so I called the club house and the call went to voice mail. The course is very good but, the rest is nothing to speak of. I know they were purchased out of bankruptcy by Vineyard National last year so I hope improvements are coming. Will play again because the course is that good.
Nice layout
Course closed for two years but coming around not worth full price yet
Great golf course
Ive olay this course when it was the sea oakes my first time playing lbi national, course still needs some time, my only issue is there was no mention of air rated. putting was not nearly near what is to be expected, but with that being said aerated is a necessity but again I wish it was mentioned to me before we played.
Great day at this course on a Monday
Course had a few rough spots but was fun and staff excellent. Will improve greatly in 2023 I’m sure they are doing great job bringing this old gem back to her glory!!!
not worth reg. price
Course in okay condition for being closed for two years fairways a lot of burn spots greens were okay a little bumpy .
LOVE this course!
The best course in the area, hands down.
It will be great to see the property brought back to its glory.
We are glad to be able to play while the renovations are ongoing. BYOB for now.
disappointed
I was very disappointed. Apparently the new owners have not been able nurture the course after the long closure.. The local county course is even in bettert condition. Additioinally, I saw no ranger to keep pace of play going and not work activity on the course in spite of it's condition. The price is much to high. Perhaps I will try again
Not worth the fee
Course was in rough shape. Bare lies, slow greens due to aeration.foursome in front had at least 2 holes open in front of them. Thank goodness they only played 9. The fees are exorbitant for a course in this shape. Needs a lot of work to get back to what it was.
