Golf cart , path only
No reason for path only. The course was dry. If I walked the course I would have walked less.
Great Condition.
Didn't expect much at this time of the year but course was in better than acceptable condition. The greens were B+ which is better than any course I been to during this winter. Love to come back with buddies. Don't forget their incredible burger.
Danki - I'm happy to hear you had a great Sea Oaks experience... Hope to see you again soon!
Marathon man
Great course, conditions are always good, staff members are helpful and friendly.
Caliendo Winter Tour
We play every Thursday around the state. Course was in great shape, especially the greens. Some fun, and challenging holes, with great green complexes.
Always a pleasure
Had a great day. Course is in excellent condition, greens especially good. Can't beat it for the price and the bar and restaurant added a nice touch after the round.
Great course BUT
Had a12:21 tee time. Normally would be able to finish a round especially as a 2 some. This course was really crowded because of the weather. We were only able to complete 14 holes. There were at least 3 foursomes in front of us that played so slow we thought the tortose was playing today. A 17 minute rated hole was being played by these foursomes at appx 30 minutes. On at least one hole one player parked her cart went over to otherside of green where her ball went without a club and went back to cart for her club and came back. Things like this made this round really discouraging. No rangers on course to help with speed of play. Someday i would like to play this course as the course itself is well laid out and the fairways are plush. I rated this a 4 because of pace of play and the starter mike wasnt too friendly to us though he received a tip.
Always a fun time here!
A great variety of holes, highlighted by a challenging group of par threes. 17th hole is a brutal par four!
Slow Play
The course was in great shape but the starter had abandoned his or her post. There was a group of 11 players teeing off in front of our twosome and we had to wait. We tee'd off 40 minutes after our original tee time. It took over 5 hours to play.
Did not see a ranger a any point during the round.
Good value from Golf Now
Sea Oaks is one of my favorite courses in south Jersey. The course was in really good shape for so late in the season. My only negative comment was the pace of play. It took 5 hours to play 18. We didn't see a ranger all day. There were a foursome, a threesome, a twosome and my threesome on the 18th hole. Other than the slow play it was an enjoyable round.
Mr Charles Shannon
As a retired player I try and play higher priced courses in the off season and Sea Oaks was a real Golf Now "Hot Deal". The course is long and well bunkered. My group had some difficulty adjusting to the fast greens, but that only adds to our winter conversation.
Great day!!
Had a great day! Teed off on time. Course was in great shape. Pace of play was good. Had a great meal after the round.
This was a beautiful course that kept us pondering our next shot! It was a truly memorable and delightful fall day spent on a golf friendly yet challenging course!
Awesome conditions
Great track!!! When ever I’m in the area this is the first place I look to play. It never disappoints.
Great layaout
Beautiful course. Nice challenge. Slow play took away from the fun and beauty of the course.
Very fun course to play pace of play was good only problem was the
the greens have been aerated in the last few weeks
Better alternative than the local public county course.
First time at this course. The layout is challenging, it was in decent shape, not great. 16 is a zig zag hole, a blind dog leg right, then a sharp left to a green with a quite a bit water in play. Probably the toughest hole on the course.
Driving range is very convenient literally right outside the pro shop, the putting green is close to the first tee box, but when asking about conditions the starter was a little dismissive of me and said they are the same as the practice green. They were not. Range distance flags were a little confusing for the unfamiliar but I was only warming up, I groove my swing and baseline my club distance elsewhere. .I was a little disappointed they use common range mats.
Two of our party had golfed St Andrews and commented on some features on this course appeared inspired by St Andrews. I take their word for it.
The fairways can be a little tight in spots and the rough is slightly high, if you try to grip and rip and go off the fairway, much of the adjoining trees are thick, many resulting lies are going to require you to go sideways to get out of trouble if you get in there. So stay within your game here.
Probably not a course I would suggest for a novice. I will likely go back later in the year once the weather turns chilly and most of the fair weather golfers hunker down for the winter. I was told Sea Oaks runs all kinds of specials through the winter (round/lunch combos), things like that.
bigguy1216... Thank you for your feedback... During the offseason, we always exercise caution with cart rules. Keep in mind, our golf course did only reopen at 10am the day prior (closed Weds and Thurs) due to snow coverage. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
