About Mountain Creek Resort
Mountain Creek Resort is a four-season destination in Vernon, N.J., just an hour outside of New York City. It features a waterpark; the 27-hole Great Gorge course, which was purchased in 2018; the Treescape Aerial Adventure Park, home to zip-lining, climbing obstacles and rope walks; and a Bike Park of 52 trails that is loaded with jumps and 1,000 feet of vertical drop. The course was part of the old Playboy Club in the 1970s and 1980s, attracting famous names such as Dean Martin and Bob Hope for a game. It’s a beautiful property with wonderful mountain views and elevation changes. Guests can stay in the Appalachian hotel or enjoy more space and privacy in a one- to three-bedroom townhome rental at Black Creek Sanctuary. Both accommodations offer outdoor pool and hot tub facilities.Facts

Packed but nice course
Great course staff was nice. I went on a Friday and there was 100 people playing. It was nice there are 3 9s so they could spread out everyone. Me and the guys that I played with are fast players so by the 7th hole we caught up to the people in front of us and than it was backed up from there. There were people on the green, another 4 some in the fairway and another about to tee off. If you go at the right time it is an enjoyable time. Great restaurant and bar at the club house with a deck looking out to the first hole and 9th. I would recommend checking out this course.
Good Course with Reservations
Recommend this course with reservation. Fairways and greens were in good shape. Cart paths need much work and score cards need to be updated. Directory signs need improvement

Great layout, poor conditions
Love the layout but unfixed ball marks in every green and some sand traps that haven’t been fixed in years was very unfortunate for $95 Monday morning tee time.

Well maintained golf course, friendly staff, enjoyed the afternoon round in the hot summer
Hot summer day with thunder storm followed up
We had a terrific round in the over 90 degree weather before hitting the wall with slow foursome in front of us. We had to run after finish 16 holes when severe thunder strom touch down in the area. It is still a good round of golf.
Great gorge
Great course always greens super fast like always was upset we couldn't play lake cause of water main break but fantastic def would play course again !!!!!

Hot Day nice course
Was a hot day but we went out on rail 1st, nobody in front of us for the front 9. Had a hole in one on the 5th hole Par 3 145 yards. Back nine was slow because 3 guys in front were so slow. Will be back great course
Nice course
The course was well-kept. The cart paths could be smoother, but I prefer that the attention is on the courses. The views are beautiful
Fun!
This was a challenging course with beautiful surroundings. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The bar wasn’t open but we grabbed a canned beverage after our round and enjoyed the covered patio anyway. Good deal.
