About
Great Gorge Golf Club is situated on 500 acres of naturally preserved land, nestled in the Vernon Valley between the Wawayanda and Pochuck Mountain Peaks. Designed by George Fazio in 1970 on behalf of Hugh Hefner for his Great Gorge Playboy Club, the course boasts 3 championship nines: Rail, Lake and Quarry. With four tee box options, the course is manageable for newer golfers yet challenging for lower handicap players, making Great Gorge an ideal venue for all golfers.

Terrible Course Management
Course conditions were great! Extremely slow round for a monday and having 36 holes. Finished front 9 in 2 hours and 50 minutes. Back 9 was worse! Took an hour to play the first 2 holes on our second 9. Called the pro shop and they sent the ranger out. Came to our group and said yeah, there is a two some and foursome in front of us and then beyond them were 3 open holes so we should skip holes to get in front. We were expected to give up holes instead of course enforcing rate of play. total round was 5 hours 40 minutes.... On a monday,on a course with 36 holes. Was very excited about playing here and the course layout and conditions didnt disappoint, but the pace and lack of enforcement put a terrible taste in our mouths. Sad to say i have no interest in coming back to play again.

The course was pretty wet so it was cart path only bug it was still very enjoyable
Better than expected conditions but inconsiderate people playing
Course was in surprisingly good condition, staff was friendly, only issue was pace of play on the second 9, they need a ranger (or two) out moving people along. Group in front of us was fine but there was a group ahead of them playing from the tips (inappropriately) who were a hole or hole and a half behind. That’s completely unacceptable.

I always like playing this course. The tee boxes still need work. Pace of play was good and for fathers day the price wasn't that bad either

This course has some beautiful views and I would definitely play it again.
Great place to play a rounding of golf
My first time playing here and I really enjoyed it. Several holes were challenging but most of the courses are well structured.
Pace of play; marshall
Probably won't go back; busy or not ; having six people tee off from same tee; unacceptable; all due to lack of marshall to oversee pace of play...not acceptable
So many beginners
There were so slow players and no etiquette of golf.
Those didn’t care about other group of players. There were no rangers to make them hurry.
Anyhow it was a good time playing this golf course with hot deal price. Well maintained greens and fairways.
