Seaview, A Dolce Hotel

About Seaview, A Dolce Hotel
Seaview, A Dolce Hotel, was founded in 1914 as an exclusive country club. It has a long history of hosting professional golfers, presidents, rock stars and celebrities. In 1942, Sam Snead won the PGA Championship on a combination of holes of what is now Seaview's Pines and Bay courses. The Bay course, a regular host of the LPGA Tour, delivers the views beyond Reeds Bay to the Atlantic City Skyline. The hotel includes 34,500 square feet of meeting and event space, indoor and outdoor pools, three restaurants and a fitness center. The historic charm of the interior feels like a trip back in time.Facts

I always play here when in Fairway Villas
The pro shop let a fivesome out in front of us.
Bunkers were in very poor shape.
We usually like the course but not this trip
overcast but worked
A overcast humid day with a few wind gust helping to keep bugs away. The course was in decent shape after stormy night, greens different speeds , some wet bunkers.
The cartpath could use some attention, bumpy rides.
Over priced
For the price, you’re not getting close to the experience you should. Tee boxes aren’t flat, course doesn’t drain great, fairways and greens are solid. For $200 there are probably 15 courses within 20 miles that are more worth your time. I cannot believe a professional tour plays here in 3 weeks. Place just feels like a total golf mill. Definitely disappointed.
Greens need attention
Outside staff is fantastic and friendly. The course is in good shape overall, however the greens are extremely bumpy and there’s poison ivy in every high grass area off the fairways. For a rack rate charge of 179 a round I’d expect the greens of all things to be rolled and in great shape. Hopefully they’ll get on this before the LPGA comes in next month.
Fun place to play
Tight turning fairways challenging but not long, consistent greens.
Senior woman
I played with my husband. I personally like the pines better for me. But my husband likes to play the Bay one day and the Pines the next. My local course I shoot around 100. Distance is about the same 5,000 yards. Here I had a lot of 3 putts. Expect to add 10-15 strokes if you don’t read the greens properly.
Four Separate golfers
Four individual golfers were afforded four Separate carts. That was a course inspired courtesy that I've never experienced before. Course in great shape. The greens were mostly very fast, which was hard to get used to in 18 holes.
Course Switched Hot Deal Times while booking
Pro shop staff and bag attendants were friendly and welcoming. Very surprised after being closed for the winter the forward tee boxes were in bad shape or temporary.
Beware! - literally in the middle of booking a hot deal for an early tee time, the course switched the time and wouldn’t confirm my booking. The time was still available, but now for full price. Sort of like the bait and switch. I contacted a golf now rep who straightened it out and got the time for the hot deal price.
Very surprised at the business practice of this course who usually has a stellar reputation.
Very nice overall
The Pine course is in great shape, greens are just right, fairways very nice . I always look forward to playing it.
