Beautiful
Always enjoy playing here. Course is in good condition. Greens a little bit slow. Tight fairways. Beautiful scenery.
The course and bunkers are in very good shape. Some greens faster than others, but overall very good. Staff is some of best that I have experienced. Definitely will play again next year.
A little bit of everything
I live less than 2 miles from this course but would gladly pass other courses to get to this one. Every time I play here I'm met with friendly staff and a well maintained course. The front nine is mostly flat in the valley, and the back nine is great mountain golf. I highly recommend this course.
This course is always in great condition
Fun to play! Frount nine is realitive flat. Back nine is very hilly. Views are spectacular, especially in the Fall. Rates are reasonable as long as you catch a GN Hot Deal. Greens are a little tricky but reasonable. Flat land golfers will have a bit of a challenge, but a enjoyable experience.
Well maintained, challenging
Recent rains reduced roll and caused plugging. Greens fast. Fairway was course cut, I'm sure as result of rain. Greens fast and boxes adequate. Good, prompt food service at the turn.
Nice layout
Greens were great. As were fairways. Traps a bit firm. Ball rolled through a couple. Rough was deep. Lost a ball in rough. Back 9 has lots of elevation change.
Perfect Golf Day
Great staff, great condition, and beautiful scenery and setting.
Just played a few holes and got rained out.
Unfortunately I am unable to fully review the course because we were rained out. The staff was great though and gave us a rain check to play. Have not had the chance to go back yet.
Always fun to play
Have played here many times. A good mix of toughness and scenery, with good conditions. Only drawback this visit was slow play. Took 5 hours.
Maggie Valley
Pace of play is very slow on back 9. We know this is a public course however, there are some who don't know golf course etiquette. There are no rangers and golfers are often taking 1, 2, or 3 T shots when players are waiting. They lose balls and waste much time looking for a ball, rather than dropping a ball and taking a stroke.
I am a beginner, but my husband is an experienced golfer and he was frustrated also with above issues.
Two very distinct nines
Would definitely play again. An outstanding afternoon value! Great course with a front nine that is a smooth park style with simpler shot lines.. Also flatter. The back is very diverse with elevation changes galore. It plays shorter than it seems tho(about a clubs worth) and the handful of multi tiered greens made shot placement a must...
Conditions were good, not exceptional.. A few rough tees. But the greens were excellent, quick, surprisingly fast for how shaggy they appeared. Rolled true.
Maggie Valley Club
Course is very lush & beautiful. Front nine is flat and open while the back is hilly and tight. Loved the whole experience and will definitely play it as often as possible.
I'll Be Back
Excellent day on a Course that begs you to return. Well kept and with enough challenge to keep you interested. Greens rolled consistently, but you better put your ball in the right place or be prepared for some long putts. I'll be back. Bobalou.
Outstandingly beautiful!
A true mountain course with beautiful views. Although it was cart path only, due to huge rains the day before, play was manageable; cart paths are all close to the fairways. The course was in great condition. We loved it!
very nice course
The only thing missing is good grass on the practice tee. the course was in great shape and is a challenge. It helped to play with a couple guys who told you where to hit and where not to hit. I would go back the next time I am close to the course and recommend it to any traveler looking for a nice place to play.
Good combination of Valley and mountainous terrain. Great condition!!
