About Manor House at Tanglewood Park
The Manor House Bed and Breakfast isn't your typical golf hotel or resort, but its location inside the 1,100-acre Tanglewood Park does have its advantages. It's within a mile of Tanglewood Park's 45 holes of golf, including the Championship Course, host of the 1974 PGA Championship won by Lee Trevino. The Victorian era manor dating to 1859 has been completely restored. All the rooms include their own private baths and period furniture and decor. Golfers can also stay at the cottage, guesthouse and apartment. Park amenities feature an aquatic center, horse stables, tennis courts and more.Facts

Windy Day
Greens were in good shape overall although they had a lot of debris from the wind. Fairways and traps had some washouts and could certainly use some work. Not a long course but requires accurate shot making. Had a good price, only wish it was in a little better condition.
Cool windy day
We played the course after a board meeting in cool windy conditions but, the course was in great condition with fast smooth greens. We played the White tees and it was a gracious plenty on a cool windy day.. Great course, great friends all in all we will be back SOON!!
Late season conditions on the Champion Course.
It was a beautiful day with a good friend. Course is in late season condition. Grass on fairways and tees are spotty, but greens rolled out nice. Bunkers had too much sand and we had several fried egg lies. I know we shouldn't have hit into them. All in all it was a good experience .
Nice greens
It's been a few years since I've played out here. The greens were really nice and pretty fast. Fairways were decent. Never as nice as the championship course but for the value you can't go wrong.
Great course
Fun course. Straightforward. Very challenging greens. Fairways, tees, and bunkers are all in good shape. The greens are very good. It’s a solid public golf course. Only reason it’s not five stars is some of the attention to detail around the course. For example, I didn’t see any water coolers on the course. And most of the areas outside the fairways/rough are not landscaped or lush.
One of the best public courses around
If you don't like this course you have a serious problem.
Solid course, will play again
Greens 4.25/5, Fairways 3.75/5, Bunkers/Traps 3.25/5, Cart Paths 3.25/5, Layout 3.75/5, Pace of play 3.5/5 Value 4.75/5 (with GolfNow deal), Kind of course I would like to play again 4.25/5.
Overall 3.75/5
excellent rebuild and staff was great
Reconditioned bunkers are nicely done, and new greens were smooth and fast. For years the only complaint i had was beat up greens due to people not fixing ball marks, and the new Bermuda greens don't show them nearly as much. Staff were all great, inside and outside.
Awesome
Played Reynolds today. Best greens in NC by far. Omg I have played here for years and have never seen them this good. A must play
Excellent Course
The play is a little slow because it is so popular. Most people are respectful and allow to play around. The members not so friendly and will not offer to allow a single to play around. This is expected.
Good shape
Have played the course before. This is probably the best condition it has been in. Looks like they finally got the greens right
A+
Great test and conditions on a serene property. Thank you for restoring this gem to the level you have.
This course is so much fun to play. Great layout, challenging but not too hard. The changes that were made have really made this course enjoyable to play.
Interesting layout
Most people know this was the course for a PGA championship back in the 70's. The course is in very good condition. The holes are either long and difficult or short and tricky. A fun course to play, a great value, but kind of a hodge podge of holes with no real flow or course character.
few quirky holes but fair. Greens in good shape. Pace of play was slow probably due to the great weather AND that there was a tournament on the second course at Tanglewood. I like to get out to this course just to test my game. Always seem t see a deer or two walk close by and no exception this time.
