This good now can't wait until the spring.
Out of all the courses in the surrounding area and within 75 miles this the best kept course with a great price. Green fairways, and great greens. Anticipating great golf on this course this year.
Bang for buck
This course tough for intetmediate player. Don't like 1st hole par 5 with a twist to left off tee then to right to green tough hole to start with and back nine has some tough holes need to be able to know work your ball or judge distance
I play the Reynolds course year round and it's always a good time. They have a great staff. The greens are tricky to read sometimes, but are always in good shape. I love trying to shape my shots and the course is great for that. no.1 par five is my favorite. 3 wood with a tight draw then a 3 wood with a big cut. Pulling it off is worth the round for me lol Accuracy and shot shaping is Definitely the key to scoring here.
Tanglewood is a great place to play
We loved our day. We got through in 3 hrs 25 minutes on a beautiful 70 degree Saturday.
I've been told tanglewood was not great lately but I totally disagree.
They were extra nice checking in and the cart man was super nice . Sent us right out a bit early.
We will be back !
We played Reynolds is in good shape. Greens are fast
This course is great with over 120 bunkers. If you don't have a special or golfnow this course is over 30 bucks and 40 on weekends and over all worth 25 tops
Definitely for a better golfer
I really enjoyed the course. I am not a good player The bunkers are way too many. I have golfed for a long time and if I were a good golfer I think it would be fantastic. Skill sure would have helped my game.
for 10 it was good
The fairways could use some work the tee boxes also.
The greens were soft but fast. The rangers need to monitor time of groups. I was a single playing with a 3 some. it was a 5 hr round, bout an hr to long.
But for 10 bucks it was ok.
Gate fee ??
Had to pay a 2$ gate fee to get in to get to the course. Nice place nice layout. Fun and challenging, played reynolds course. Woukdbt recommend the championship course unless you can work the ball around dog legs. Reyonlds was tough enough. Slightly narrow with trees lined all around. Would go back , just salty on a gate fee. Cart path was confusing, drank a entire beer finding #10 teebox.
My, How The Mighty Have Fallen
I wanted to love this course, but after the first 2 holes, I knew I couldn't honestly say it. What you hear about the bunkers is true. There are pits in the course. Bunkers have sand, pits don't. The greens need to be rolled so badly, it not funny. Ball marks everywhere. I was told this course is now owned by the local municipality, which tells me that no "real" money is spent on it's upkeep. What a shame...
This course has alot of bunkers
The golf course has many bunkers on the course. It would be great if you could hit the ball out of the sand in stand of red clay. Only a few bunkers had sand in them. Question the pictures advertised show white sand only seen one bunker with white sand.
Great course - staff needs work
Course is great but needs some attention during the fall. Leaves are not cleaned up off of fair ways it makes it harder to find your ball from the sun reflecting off the leaves. Staff needs a little work seems like they are grumpy if you dont know your way around. Also the staff members need to notify cart path policy. You dont really know if you can drive on the fairways or not.
Good layout
I enjoyed the whole course it was a challenge but fair.
Greens are terrible.
Played this course twice over the last couple weeks preparing for a tournament. Really a target golf course. A lot of elevation changes and doglegs. Fairways and tee boxes in excellent shape. Greens were horrible. Aerated several weeks ago, but grass was sparse and crabgrass plentiful.Greens greatly takeaway from overall experience. Sad you have to lose so many strokes on poor greens. It was the same last year when I played.
Great value
The Reynolds course if fun to play, and the condition of the course was good. The greens were in decent shape. I love the layout of this course, and when the greens are good, it's a great value and experience.
weekday afternoon round
Overall the course was in good condition. I would say that I have seen the greens in a lot better condition. But the tee boxes and the fairways made up for it.
9/25 at Tanglewood Championship Course
The Tanglewood Championship Course is always a favorite to play. However, on this day, the greens were quite slow and some of the bunkers were very wet (muddy). Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and will definitely return
course good, bunkers terrible!!!!!!
Everything about this course was really good except for the bunkers. Concrete hard, you could not rake . Every green is well protected with bunkers, so unless you are a very good golfer you will be in the bunkers. Almost unfair, you will notice I did not call it sand.
Aerated greens
I liked this course. Certainly an old school design. Tough, challenging and simple design.
Staff- the cart guy was really helpful. Snack girl gave me the last of the coffee (love her). Everyone else was terrible. Check in the lady just couldn't be bothered. The started started nice and the came around and said we needed to hurry. Pulled up to the next tee and waited. We were stuck between groups as a twosome and couldn't get out. Ridiculous. This stated in my head a stopped us from playing the great round we had going. She also said the greens were rolling surpringly well. Ridiculous! They were aerated 2.5 weeks before and if I had known I would have played there.
Nice course to play
Great fun. Great layout. Bunkers not in good shape very wet and packed. Can't remember any rain lately that would cause that. The course overall was better than other courses I have played.i will be playing again soon
