A good value and nice course
Played two of the three courses at Sea Piines. I would rate this a close second to the Rees Jones course. Wide open fairways and the greens are in great condition. The bag boys and starters were extremely nice and friendly.
Good value
Course was in good shape. Would recommend. Only issue was wish they told us they start groups off of both nines. Had first tee time out and played front nine in 1:45. Then had to wait over 35 minutes to tee off on ten as they had 5 groups waiting to go off the back.
Good golf fallen into disrepair.
Use to be a good golf course, but everything except the greens has fallen into disrepair. Grass on the fairways were very thin. Could see the earth below. Lots of crab grass tuffs which sometime you needed to place your ball on in order to take a shot. Looked like the bunkers hadn’t been worked on in weeks. Cart paths are almost at the point of being dangerous due to lack of repair. It’s a shame to see a course like this not being taken care of.
Solid day at Byrd
My son and I really enjoyed the round on the Byrd course. Greens rolled well and for what a lot of area courses have gone through were in good shape. We got to see a couple of gators sunning and relaxing as we played. The only negative would be cart paths, but with it being 90 degeee wasn’t that big of deal. We will be back this summer.
Great day of golf on Jones
Jones course was in solid shape considering what a lot of the area courses have gone through with weather. A couple of fairways were very wet, but understandable after morning rain. Greens definitely playable, but will be better in a month or so. Tee boxes were in great shape. This course understands family golf and taking care of juniors. We will back this summer for sure.
Poor Course Conditions
Tees were long, fairways devoid of grass. Had to roll the ball onto tufts of crabgrass. Greens ran true. Would not recommend until grass grows.
Great crew greeting us
Upon arrival, we were greeted by a high energy, friendly staff. Nice way to begin the round. Course is in excellent shape. Greens were a bit slow after recent aeration — not a big deal.
Nice layout, horrible greens
Rees Jones design is very good. The greens are in horrible condition....thatchy, spots on greens with shaggy weed making greens completely unpredictable and not fun to putt on. No water jugs on the course!! Bring a range finder or Garmin.... very few yardage markings. Money spent could have been spent on a better course at the same rate. If the greens were decent at all, I would recommend the course....as it stands... Do Not Waste Your Time or Money on this course.
Looking forward to our next round
Marshall explained conditions clearly, and bar tender, he was friendly and efficient. Thank you for keeping the ladies rest rooms clean on the courses
Very sorry to see how it has deteriorated
A great course that has continued to decline each year. Greens were in good condition except covered in maple keys. Fairways were badly damaged. Some t boxes were ok. Cart path a mess. One plus that as there was noone on the course we had a 3 hour round
Sea Trail Rees Jones
Windy!!! Nice setting, quick greens, course is in good shape. You get rewarded with accuracy that's for sure. You also get penalized for inaccuracy. I would recommend this course to everyone!!!
Nice Track
Mutiple challanges make it a fun course. Greens were in great shape. Fairways had some really wet spots. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Average
Nothing special, an average course for public play. Small greens, fairways need grass and traps need help but overall only play at the right price and enjoy the day/
rough ride
for this time of year the course was okay but the most dangerous part of the course are the golf cart paths - about as bad as I have been on - four wheel drive would of helped
for the time of the year
Ok greens rough looking but rolled ok -- fairways sparse
Sea Trail Rees Jones
THE WIND BLEW TOO MUCH!!! ;-) Fighting the wind was the biggest issue for me. The course was in good condition and greens rolled true. Would play this course again and would highly recommend it to others.
Windy day
Fairways in good condition for early spring. Greens were slow and a little rough.
