About Talamore and Mid South Golf Resort
Talamore Golf Resort and Mid South are sister properties with semi-private golf courses and onsite accommodations in Southern Pines, N.C. near the Village of Pinehurst. The two facilities are located 2.3 miles from one another door-to-door. Both feature mostly 2- and 3-bedroom villa accommodations with full kitchens, while there are also a small number of houses available for rent as well, including the Palmer Cottage. Villa units are 1,800 square feet, have daily housekeeping service and feature front and rear porches. Both Mid South and Talamore have outdoor pools available to guests. Talamore and Mid South are both championship-caliber, 18-hole golf courses. Talamore was designed by architect Rees Jones while Mid South was laid out by Arnold Palmer. The property offers stay-and-play packages to a wide collection of other Sandhills-area golf properties.Facts

First Round
I don’t normally pay $100 plus a round, but got a good deal via golfpass. Played at 10:40 so pace was good until 4th hole, ended 27 minutes behind. Greens were hard and fast, lots of slopes, so I had a lot of 3 putts. Course needed some rain or watering. Snack shack was closed. Some bunkers were impossible to get out, lucky I only hit 1 and to drop after two stokes to get out. I’d like to return sometime and try again, weather was near perfect, so I’ll play a Second round.

Great Layout and variety
What a great find , lots of variety, huge greens, used almost all the clubs in the bag , intimidating sod walked bunkers but the sand was perhaps the best I have ever played. Will be back for sure. Absolutely loved the layout and elevation changes.

Very nice course
I def recommend. Its a great layout & in very good condition. Fairways and greens are nice and course is challenging from the Blue tees. Great layered bunkers on some holes, which need to be avoided.

Slow
Who puts a 5-some in front of a two-some? Yes, 5-some. A course with no marshal or starter does. Gone downhill since I last played it. Save the $100+
Not as good as last time
The course and club house were in far better condition last time we played (same time of year). The course had bare spots and needs some remediation. At times, the cart path lacked signage directing you to the next hole. The clubhouse restroom doors are in need of painting, the welcome mat was so worn you could barely read the course name and the restrooms lacked hand soap. For us, at this point there are other courses to play in the area that represent a better experience and value.

1st time at Talamore
Terrific round and the perfect weather… checkin was fast and easy ..awesome practice area and putting green… Greg is a terrific starter … it was a paired 4 some and he introduced everyone and got us sent over to the first tee right on time …. Our fore some and the round couldn't have been more enjoyable … I think the wide generous landing areas from the tee were a lot of fun … going back in July when everything greens up … cheers!

Play this course!
Course was in great condition, especially the greens. It's a fun layout designed to be not that challenging and is fun to play. Lot of room off the tee with some elevation change. The stacked sod bunkers were neat but you really need to avoid them.
The green fee was low for the quality of this course.
