Great course and layout
Great course and layout; didn’t know one course was private and one public, but fantastic all around. The pro shop and clubhouse did close very early without warning but otherwise very nice.
Great course love playing here but I had to pay $50 dollars for 9 holes at 5pm and the greens were plugged and sanded maybe a week before I played as it still had sand on it and holes in the green.
Nice Time…Would Recommend
Had a nice round today. Got to play alone but was held up by two 4somes playing a scramble….so a bit slow. Course is beautiful and in good shape but the greens were punched recently …and super slow! Would play again.
Getting there
I love Rock Barn. 2 things: 1. I wish I had known that the greens had been punched. It would’ve made me less frustrated to show up to it. 2. Played the first four holes super quickly. We then waited on almost every other shot the rest of the day. The starter was great about talking to us, but didn't come up until hole 10 to say something.
I will 100% be back. It's a great test.
Awesome as Always
Despite the greens being punched recently, RB remains an exceptional course. Layout, staff and conditions continually make this one to keep on your list.
Great course
The course was in great condition. The only reason I put less stars than five is because they had just sanded unplugged the greens. So the greens were slow and bumpy. Other then that love this place.
Spend your money elsewhere
Pace of play horrible. 6 hour round and cart path only on a bone dry day. Marshall nowhere to be found after calling clubhouse multiple times. Spend your money elsewhere.
Nice course
A very nice course under 7000 yards with some holes that will make you think a little bit longer as to the correct shot. There are several risk/reward holes to verify this. The Bermuda grass was still dormant but I was able to play the ball down with really no bad lies. The greens rolled very nice with good pace and they were fairly consistent on all the holes. ( I do question a couple of the pin placements on this particular day…could have been whoever cut the holes was having a bad moment).Anyway…I would recommend this course.
Great Course.
This course was fantastic. Loved the elevation changes and tons of sand traps. The pace of play was not good. The Ranger was out and about several times during our play trying to speed up the groups in front of us. 3 Drinks, Double shot Bloody Mary’s were $59 w/out tip and still couldn’t taste the liquor. I would recommend playing the course.
Pace of play was very slow today
Pace of play was poor today. Very often 2-3 groups waiting on some holes. Given the time of year, the course was in decent shape.
Great Course!
Really just a great course overall. Not particularly hard from a distance standpoint. Quite a short course but extremely fun. Bunkers littered everywhere so have to be pinpoint on your drives and iron shots. Course conditions are really good, 0 complaints from that standpoint. Recommend looking for a hot deal and giving this course a go if you haven’t already.
Always a Great Experience!
Rock Barn Jackson Course never fails when it comes to a great golf experience. From the time you pull in the gates and see the beautiful course. The course is always in great condition, from tee to green. Also the pace of play is always great.
We played 18 then decided to replay 18. The staff was so aware they brought us a new cart out at the 2nd hole which was greatly appreciated. If you haven’t ever played this course you are missing out.
