About The Rock Barn Country Club & Spa
The Rock Barn Country Club & Spa, set within the foothills of western North Carolina, is part private club, part resort. The playing public has access to the Jackson Course, the Fresh Chef Cafe, lodging, event spaces for weddings/conferences and the spa, which is home to a saltwater pool, indoor and outdoor jacuzzis, saunas and steam rooms. Visitors must stay in a four-bedroom townhome (there are two) or the five-bedroom Lodge for access to the spa and course. Only members can use the tennis and fitness facilities, five other restaurants and the Jones Course, which has hosted the PGA Tour Champions.Facts

Great Course!!!
This is such a beautiful course, They keep it in very good condition and the greens run fairly fast.
Top 3 public in Area
Love love this course. 10 is a beauty. Greens were a little moderate but rest of course was great.
Outstanding as Always
Very wet day, 2.5 inches of rain in the past 48 hours, so cart path only. It didn't matter, we had a great day! Course seemed to have drained very well and the greens were in excellent condition. Little chilly unless the sun was out but the carts had covers! We topped the day off with a few beers and food watching golf on wide screen! We will be back!
Not really complaining. We are a twosome and got behind some members. The group ahead was a foursome and in front of them was a group of 5. Didn't even bother to offer us to play through. But not a big deal.
We are not members so didn't say anything. Took two people 5 hours to play 18.
If you're going to charge $70......
Love the layout, the greens and the fairways. But if you're going to charge $70+ on the weekend you need to address the condition of the bunkers. They are terrible. I know you're supposed to hit it on the green stuff but sometimes you end up on the beach. If was just once in a while, I'd be okay with it but it's everytime I play here. Washed out, underlayment showing with big piles of sand in other places. I'm starting to have trouble justifying the green fee to play here. I love this course it's just......
Fun Course
Really fun course to play. The scenery and hole layouts were very nice. Lots of elevation changes.
Greens and fairways in very good condition. Staff very friendly. Pro Shop under going construction. Check in was at trailer in back of clubhouse. Bag drop signs were not visible when driving in to the clubhouse area. Would definitely recommend

If you’re in Charlotte this is a must and worth the drive. Great course, great layout great staff.
Rock Barn
Overall the course was in good shape. However, a couple of greens were in rough shape and all of the sand traps were in really bad condition.
$125 course for $65
One of the nicer courses I have played thru GolfNow! Practice facility was adequate, but the course was in great shape with Championship greens and a tough but certainly fair layout! Enjoyed the experience totally in the area I’m from this course would have been at least $150!
