Conley Resort winter golf.
A friend and I played Conley Resort on 12/15/14 at the awesome price of $15 each. Actually about $18 each after the sign up fee. Never the less a great price. Normal fee is $25 this time of the year. The course was well maintained with very little leaves. The only negative was the greens were a little slow and bumpy compared to the summer fast smooth greens that are Conley's norm. This is a great course any time of the year. And one of the few open all year long.
Great course
Great course and in excellent shape. Great value for the money. Good pace of play
Cold but enjoyed
About 36°F so not too many people which made for excellent pace of play (under 3 hours). A lot of pine trees on course with a few regular trees so leaves were not an issue except on the 6th green where a tree next to the green covered it with leaves except where previous golfers cleared pathways. A great price for this course, $15 for 18 and a riding cart. Greens were aerated but rolled pretty true.
I would recommend this course , great experience
For nov. 3, the course was in excellent shape. The leaves were cleared and the greens good. The best kept course I have played in the last month. I will return.
Very nice course
With the exception that the front nine greens had been aerated, the course was in excellent shape. The course was crowded and pace of play seemed slower but still finished in four hours. I would definitely play again!
Loved the course.
We enjoyed the course except the front nine was aerated. The back nine was beautiful. Next time we will try to play a round before October. The layout is interesting with a few blind holes and a couple of narrow fairways. Glad we got to play Conleys, it was our first time. The clubhouse is nice and there were quite a few golfers out enjoying the course too. It took 2 hours to play the front and about 1 1/2 to play back nine. Birdie on the 1st hole. Yeah.
a good walk spoiled
i like Conleys if you are in the zone you can score well here
Highly recommended !
From the tees to the greens this course is in excellent condition especially for October. This is a well kept golf course resort and well managed. My hats off to the grounds keeper and the the crew. Best greens I played on this year. They held for all shots and putted smooth with some being a little faster than others.I also suggest you visit the bar/restaurant after your round. One word for this course-excellent!
Wonderful Course
Phenomenal experience. I would play this course again in heartbeat. Staff was courteous and friendly. I enjoyed my round of golf. Greens and fairways were well manicured and maintained.
This course has great features
Play it weekly when the group lets me choose
Love it from first time playing and glad to rember my initial golf starting
tough day
Longest round ever at Conleys. Long slow day. Usually much better there.
This course is very well kept.
Nice course and had a good time. We liked everything about it.
well maintained
club house reception was very pleasant. Easy to get out on time. course in good shape, however, they did begin to aeroate the fairways the day we played. did not impede play that much, these things need to be done.
Very, Very Good Condition!, same old lackluster Customer Service
The greens, fairways, rough, and sand were in awesome shape. The tee boxes could have used some help in places but still were better than most public tracks in Western PA. Nothing stood out w customer service. Had a 721 TTime and was checking in at 650, I was reminded twice that they needed to get a couple groups off ahead if me. ??? Maybe she didn't think I could tell time. Just little things like that get annoying and I have had other odd interactions and phone calls w staff for reservations that would make me just avoid the place all together if the course wasn't kept in such good condition.
The honest truth
Conley golf course is always in good shape. The course has a nice layout with the typical one or two holes you don't like on a golf course. This course is a great value at the golf now price and up to $40 per round. The issue most have with the course is the high regular rates when not using Golf now. $65 dollars regular fee for 18/ cart carries higher expectations than this course can deliver. Conley is in my back yard and out of all the courses in Butler is my preferred course to play. Unfortunately the inconvenience of having to look for discounted rates doesn't have me playing it as much as i would like.
Slow play on weekends
The course is fine and the staff were friendly. The 5 hours to play was the norm on weekends. They get a lot of outing and scrambles at this course on weekends. What is it about scrambles that bring out every hacker in the area? Be prepared for slow play if it the weekend.
great golf course
The course was in great shape, as usual. We did have a somewhat slow round, but usually have no problem. It is one of my favorite courses. Challenging but very playable. Highly recommend it.
nice course
Fairly flat considering, very nice tees, fairways and greens. Greens receptive and rolled nice, pretty soft conditions. Play was slow because of a party in front of us playing a scramble. They were just slow all over so it slowed us down. Saw the ranger at the 1st hole but not after that. Alot of blind shots and the course is very close together, so you have shots from others landing all over the place near our group. No bells to move play so on many hole we had to drive forward to see when the group had move on to the green, and then go back and tee off. I cant see how it is worth the cost unless you have a discount.
Good Course Bad Management
This coure is in great shape so once we started playing everything was great.
Arrived about an hour prior to tee time. Course was empty. Checked in and and asked if we could tee off early since no one was around. Was told we cannot. Putted a few minutes and decided to wait at the tee box until our time. The manager came out and yelled at us for being there and told us we have to wait until our tee time because we booked under a HOT DEAL ($25 per person) she does not get any of that money and hence she is not letting us go out early. Eventually she let us tee off after a twosome about ten minutes before our tee time. In the hour oprior to out tee time only two twosomes teed off. If all you care about is the course, go for it. Not sure I will return unless it's another super hot deal but won't arrve early. Management has never been friendly in prior visits so it's not an isolated case.
Just in time
Good course for the money. Got round in just before the rain.
