Cold and blustery day at santee national
Reminded me of golf in the northeast US. Enjoyable experience. Gladly play again
Good value
Unacceptable consideration of handicapped players
The management of this course refused to cancel my booking when I attempted to reach them after they issued a statement that morning saying that play was for cart on path only. I am handicapped and can barely play 18 holes with a cart on the fairway due to back surgery followed by a total right knee replacement, which the post op PT "ruined my back again. I am on pain killers all day, so this management decision to cancel my reservation and provide me a refund is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I could take further action, but my bank has issued me a refund, and I will drop it at that and not pursue further action with the American Disabilities Act against Santee National.

Fast greens
Super fast greens, tight grass but time of year is most of it. Pace of play was a little slow for my liking. Carts brand new, nice place and we play it every year when visiting my mother in law.
Beautiful course - brutally slow play
We loved everything about this course except the pace of play. There was a group of 20 playing best ball in front of us. Most had obviously never golfed. It took us almost 3 hours to play 9 holes.
I would suggest not booking tee times for regular golfers when these types of events are booked. It is very frustrating and could lead many to play elsewhere.
Excellent Conditions and playing experience
The course is the best in South Carolina for the value and conditions with only Golf all around.
Love Santee National
Course was in very good condition for mid-March. Pretty busy so play a little slow. Only real complaint is condition of cart paths. Really need to be improved.
Great Value
First time here but have played in Santee previously. Staff was wonderful and very friendly. Course busy in high season. Was in fair shape, rough still dormant and a bit thin. Greens were quick and in good shape. Fairways in good shape as well. Back 9 slowed down with lots of groups. No ranger on the course, no beverage cart. Enjoyed the layout but likely would play here again when weather allows the course to be in better shape.
Impressive track
First time playing this course and we loved it, plush green fairways and almost 7000y from the back tees. The greens were in perfect condition and have plenty of slope, requiring strategic approach shots. Staff was very kind and nice clubhouse restaurant for snacks and drinks. We will be back!
Loved it
From the time we arrived until we left the course we could not have been more satisfied. The course was in great shape even this early in the year. Fairways looked and played beautifully and the greens were both lush and soft. The layout was challenging but even as a novice it was very enjoyable. Will definitely be in our regular rotation of courses
Santee National
Great course. Great layout. Narrow fairways and tough greens. Awesome price.
Excellent Condition. Wish a Ranger was present
The course is the best value for condition and money. The only problem is there are no rangers on the course to get a foursome that remove the flag all the time moving quickly.
This course has a demented greens keeper
Course is In great shape with the greens rolling quick. The greens keeper needs to evaluate where pins are place with greens this quick. Hit 16/18 greens shot 79. Other wise this is an absolute great track.
Course is in great shape
Played above my normal but had enjoyable experience. I will return
Overseeded fsirwsys
Cart path only even though pretty dry. Cart paths were very rough. Course was in nice condition. Took 4.5 hours probably because of cart path. Layout nice except many par fours were very similar. Nice to see green grass in February.
