The Chapel Creek Plantation is home to 12 villas located on the first fairway of the Santee National Golf Club. Each villa is decorated with a Southern architectural theme that includes two bedrooms (4 total beds), two baths, laundry and a kitchen. Its golf packages with golfsantee.com can be customized to include breakfast at Clark's Restaurant or the Quality Inn & Suites. Santee National dates to 1989 and challenges players with rolling hills, mossy oaks, 40 bunkers and five water hazards. It is one of several courses available in area golf packages.Facts

everything was great from the course to the staff super friendly.
Nice Little Spot
Greens had just been aerated, but still not awful. Just in the area and wanted to check out this little gem. Will be back, when it’s not so hot. Lol. Not a long course, but accurate shots are rewarded. Pace of play was good. Planning a fishing/golf trip in the fall and this one will be on the list.

Best golf course in and around Summerville/Charleston area.
Yes this hidden jewel is way out in Santee- it's 40 minutes from Summerville. SC. However, it is well worth the drive. The course is always in fantastic shape. The greens are well maintained and roll true. Fairways are cut correctly and are in excellent shape. Since finding this course on Golf Now about 6 months ago, I have played there over 15 times. Not once did I have a bad experience. The staff is professional and friendly, The course itself is challenging if you can't put your ball in the fairway but not to the point where you want to chunk your clubs into the nearest water hazard. In short, Santee National is a well run, well maintained golf course that puts the fun back into golf. No matter how many balls I hit into the water on #2..

The course is beautiful
The course is in great shape. Carts were nice, restrooms on course clean. However, play was painfully slow. When we came to 10th fairway, waited at least 20-25 minutes to tee off. It was not a crowded course. Outside of that, we did enjoy our round.

Nice Coarse
We had a very nice round today with excellent pace of play. Green were in very good shape. We will definitely stop by in the future.

Nice Course Good Value
The course is very nice and kept up well. Greens are challenging but true and readable. There are 2 par 3s that are longer than I like par 3s. I like even for average golfer that 2 of the par 5s can be reached from whites with 2 long shots.

Corona virus guidelines
Went to front desk to check in. Wanted to make sure they were following COVID guidelines put out by governor McMaster. Asked if everyone uses their own cart. He said no, double up. Then asked us if we came in the car together, we said no. Then he said your closer than 6 feet to each other right now. Ok if you gonna work at front desk, you should know the rules. Every other course we’ve been to since March practices good social distancing, this establishment does not!

Very enjoyable course.
Course is in great shape with large fast greens that rolled true. Unfortunately we had two foursomes ahead of us that appeared to be friends playing against each other and they were slow, slow slow. Made for a long day. I certainly would recommend playing this course if in the area. It's a 1 1/2 hour drive from Newberry but I'll be back.

Definitely a worthwhile drive
Coming down from the Columbia area, I've played this course a few times and enjoyed it each time. The greens are fantastic and roll true. The fairways and tee boxes are in great shape. If you're in the area or even if you're not, it's worth your time.

Great Course!
This was our 1st time playing the course. Found it challenging, but fun. Greens were fast. My husband and I had a great day on the course and will definitely return!!!

Great Day of Golf
My bud and I really enjoyed the entire experience. The course (fairways and greens) is truly in great condition. We drive a hour to reach the track and play it 7-8 times throughout the year. The course has yet to disappoint! Anytime you're coming to the Santee area you need to give this track a try.
