Very unhappy
The overall experience was bad. There were two guys in my group that had 1 set of clubs between the two of them. That would work if they were good golfers but they were the two worst golfers I have ever seen. They ruined my whole day in 4 holes. The first hole took 45 minutes. No excuse. Then after that I ran into two groups of 5 golfers which made pace of play even slower. A very bad day of golf which cost me $55 dollars.
Great!
Friendly staff, course in great shape. A few moist areas in fairway. Going to make this a yearly stop when on vacation.
A Nice Facility and Course
Played this course for the first time with my wife and son. The course was in pretty good condition and the lay-out was different for each 9. I would recommend this course when visiting the Myrtle Beach area. Good value for the price. We booked and paid through "Golf Now" but the course had no record of our tee time but still got us out in a timely manner.
Play it before it's gone
1st time here. Had an enjoyable round. Course was nice and in decent shape. But it's about to be closed to make room for more housing.
Worthwhile
Played at River Oaks as part of a five-course women's golf trip and it far and away had the most pleasant staff of all the courses. From the bag drop staff to the front desk to the starter and course advisor, all were welcoming and went out of their way to be helpful. The course was in good shape and played similar to the northern courses we typically play.
Fantastic course
I booked a tee time here with 3 other family members while visiting and had a very great experience. Although it was hotter than expected, we had a blast golfing here and the staff was more than friendly. I would definitely golf here again in the future and highly recommend. The driving range was a bit small in terms of how many guests could practice at a time and the course was relatively forgiving with not too many sand traps. Overall, very great course and well maintained.
10/10
Would highly recommend this course for anyone considering. Very fun and friendly.

Very enjoyable round of golf
Down in Myrtle Beach for a few days with my son and his family. We were authorized one round of golf so I spent some time looking into venues on GolfNow and a couple other websites. This course was relatively close to where we were staying and had decent reviews. We arrived and we were cordially greeted, set up on our carts and given a good overview of what to expect. After letting a single play through our round was nice. Pace of play was fast (we got around in 3 1/2 hours) and the course was challenging but not punitive. Conditions were good with the exception of a couple greens that had been recently sodded and had not blended in yet. After the round we had a beer on the quiet back deck before heading out.
Average course, not great
Greens were real slow. Sand traps not groomed with standing water. From Utah and used to a different kind of grass, will have to adjust.
Golfing time
This was my 2nd time playing this course and I enjoyed it better than the 1st time. Will be bringing the fellows back the next time we come back to SC.
