Tudor Oaks Inn
About Tudor Oaks Inn
The Tudor Oaks Inn in Summerville, South Carolina, is a small outpost with only three rooms named after famous golf courses in Scotland (St. Andrews), England (Sunningdale) and Ireland (Royal Dublin). It sleeps only six, but staying has its perks: Access to the golf and tennis at the adjacent semiprivate club, the Legend Oaks Golf & Tennis Club, which offers the Bistro One18 restaurant. Tudor Oaks Inn, which also has an outdoor pool, is located within 25 minutes of Charleston and near three large plantations worth touring - Middleton Place, Magnolia Plantation and Gardens, and Drayton Hall.Facts

Fast round, above average shape, nice layout
Appropriate opportunities to hit driver off tee, yet mixed with some that require target golf layups. Some greens had a few bad spots. GPS in carts was nice! Fairways in nice shape, tees too. Beverage cart always a plus!! Worth the money to play. Drive from beach was a bit long but overall the course was a value. Would be on my list of places to play again if in the area.
great course!
Loved the rolling greens! Fairways are great shape and well maintained. Hazards are challenging but managable. Water is prevalent but you have options. Overall really enjoyed the course!
Nice course, but expensive without hot deal discount...
We love this course, but after getting course of the year, their rates went way up. Many wish they had better deals for local residents. It is still a nice course nestled off historic highway 61 in the Charleston area with some challenging holes. Some of the holes on new neighborhood developments are not very pleasing to the eye, but this is made up for with a quaint clubhouse and friendly staff.
Great course and outstanding value with golfnow.com
Course is very well kept up and I was very impressed with the layout of the holes. Lots of variety, challenging doglegs without unnecessary blindspots, and beautiful fairways, trees and ponds. Course is a little out of the way up a two lane road but well worth it. Only course I have played that had 8X10 GPS with every cart - I always knew my exact yardages and had a great visual of every hole and where to avoid trouble. Golfnow was the ultimate "go now" since they allowed rates for 18 holes for only $18. FB
Nice layout but needs work.
Played this while visiting Kiawah Island. About a 45 minute drive but much better value than the $300+ on the island. Looks like the course has been around for quite some time. A little shabby but holes are challenging and fun to play. The biggest disappointment were the greens which were very poor. Granted, we were playing in mid-April but we'd played on better greens near Toronto two weeks earlier.
Great layoit but not the best condition.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the course layout with many challenging, varied and interesting holes but the general condition of the course was not one of the best we've played during our stay in South Carolina which would not encourage us to return.
Good course, greens need serious work
I played on Monday April 15, 2013 and the greens were in awful condition. Its hard to tell at first because they painted them green... The layout of the course is great and I would go back, only if I was assure the greens were in much better condition.
Honestly I would stay away for at least a month and see if they can fix them
Nice place
Nothing special, i like the gps carts. The greens are not very good at all. Overall decent course for the price.
LOTS of water! Ponds, streams, standing. Like the starter said...water on 16 of 18 holes and standing water in between. (It's in a swampy area)
A challenging course. Review location of water before taking a shot. Their GPS is very nice. Greens definitely needing attention...they were slower than I'm used to and kinda rough.
Great course for GolfNow deals, fairly well kept.
Only reason it took us so long is because our group shoots in the 100's. Other than that, the course is always a good deal for the money and always a good experience (except when it rains). I would say it is a little more than moderately challenged but then again...i shoot in the 100s. I would definitely recommend anyone to try this course atleast once.
greens bumpy & lumpy, lack of true roll when putting.
Greens need attention, other than that this course is very challenging with a great lay out,
Excellent course, great value. Plays nicely.
Excellent course, great value. Plays nicely. I will be playing this course again.
Very challenging!
Course was very wet due to many days of rain. Greens in great shape and very fast. Loved the layout which presented many challenges. No delays during the round:-)
Course in great shape staff was friendly
Legend Oaks is challenging and in good shape; only downside is no driving range; hit balls into a net to warm up. Pace of play was acceptable
No over-seeding but decent
Had a 1pm tee time that was delayed an hour due to early AM frost. Starter had a difficult time working the member blitz (shotgun start that started on 1, 2, 3, etc vs 18, 17, 16, etc) into the mix so he just pushed back all the tee times and had 6 groups waiting by the side while all members came through. I understand frost was the issue, but if they would have shot gunned correctly there wouldn't have been any delay.
Overall course in decent shape for Feb with no overseeing and painted greens. Typically is a great place to play for the money.
Too bad for the pace of play.
Great layout and friendly staff. Wish somebody would have done something about the slow play ahead of us. Waited on every shot, every hole when there was no reason for it.
love the course, gps on the golf carts are very convenient
I have played this course about 7 or 8 times,it's always challenging for me being a beginner. I must say I didnt enjoy playing it yesterday because they paired me and my partner up with another couple. I'm not sure if that's a regular thing, but I have never been paired like that before. My tee time was just for the two of us but instead we played with 4. It was definitely a distraction for me and my partner, and I just wanted to know if they are allowed to do that?
Good course with GPS
Pretty nice course at a reasonale rate. The GPS in the golf carts are really nice and is both an aid to your game and for pace of play.
Clean and well kept
The staff was very accommodating and the course was very well kept ...... a very good golfing experience.
Scenic Gem
A very beautiful course that boasts plenty of natural beauty. The layout is challenging but fair. The staff was great and the conditions were spot on.
A little disappointed about the mat and net driving range and lack of ball washers, but the in cart GPS system more than offset that. Great value with resort style GPS.
Gators and other wild life intense so hit it straight.
The best part of the layout is that you can not see the other holes from the hole you are on with one exception. Tranquil beauty.
Play it more than once.
