Tudor Oaks Inn
About Tudor Oaks Inn
The Tudor Oaks Inn in Summerville, South Carolina, is a small outpost with only three rooms named after famous golf courses in Scotland (St. Andrews), England (Sunningdale) and Ireland (Royal Dublin). It sleeps only six, but staying has its perks: Access to the golf and tennis at the adjacent semiprivate club, the Legend Oaks Golf & Tennis Club, which offers the Bistro One18 restaurant. Tudor Oaks Inn, which also has an outdoor pool, is located within 25 minutes of Charleston and near three large plantations worth touring - Middleton Place, Magnolia Plantation and Gardens, and Drayton Hall.Facts

Nice course
Great experience on a very nice course. Great value.
Would play it again
Course in great shape and has some very beautiful holes. Super value for the price. People are exceptional everyone couldn't be more friendly and helpful.
nice nice nice
Great little course at a great price for the area. The pro was very friendly as well as everyone else.I would suggest this course for sure!!!!
Another good day @ Legend Oaks
Course was in good shape - got a little slow on back 9
First time playing with gators!
It was my first time playing Legend Oaks (with a friend from out of town). Weather was great; course was in good condition and seeing gators on the course was an added benefits for my out of town friend (Traveled from Minnesota to play)
A Legend of a golf course
Play was good...course has lots of challenging holes for every skill level. My only complaint is the condition of tee boxes as they were littered with dvots.
Greens not mature
Greens not mature still have post turfing seams that cause some short putts to go offline but they're getting there.
Winter Golf
For winter golf it was great. Greens rolled true, new greens in 2014 are awesome. All other aspects are dormant in February. Cant wait to play here come April. Hope they resolve the cart charging problem that occurred causing a shortage of carts.
Heavy rain the night before
Fairways and greens were in great shape for January. Beautiful old live oaks are everywhere and the layout makes the facility feel very private. Heavy rain the night before made for some messy shots but overall the drainage was very good. This Is a very difficult course from the black tees or just challenging from the whites. Make sure you know where the hazards are before teeing off. Very nice clubhouse.
Very great design and character
So wet from
Rain. Very long course if it is wet play a shorter tee than normal. I am a
5 H and shot 83 from the gold. Basically zero roll on nearly all drives. The character of this course is great with huge trees and a fair punt of water.
Would play it again
Great condition for the end of December. Staff helpful and friendly. A little slow due to the group in front of us. Had to wait 20 minutes at the turn to get 2 burgers and they got the order wrong. The course was fair. Would play it again.
This course has great features
Although it was very foggy that day, I did not let that condition distract me. It was my first time at this course and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Also the treatment I received from the staff was excellent.
Needs upkeep
This is a nice course that needs some TLC. Neglect is taking it's toll, greens and tee boxes are good, but fairways are cluttered with leaves and limbs and the water hazards are over flowing. Hopefully they will have some money to put into it. Staff was short handed, almost non-existent.
Legend Oaks
Fantastic weather. Great price. Excellent course. Very challenging and scenic. Will definitely play there again.
nice new gereens and lots of water
Facilities top notch - putting green, chipping area, full size GPS in all golf carts - the only lack is a driving range, although they do have a netted hitting enclosure. The White tees play around 5500 - the blues (which used to be the whites) play a little over 6200. The course was in great shape. Tee boxes in good shape and well placed. Fairways were dry and well kept with good grass and not too demanding rough. Greens were beautiful - brand new this spring. The seams in the new greens have meshed nicely and have the consistency of a quality carpet. Putts are true and predictable. Course has quite a bit of water in-play or near in-play especially on the back nine. Two of the four par threes have forced carries over water - very pretty holes. Lots of wildlife, saw a couple hawks, many wading birds and more than a couple alligators.
Nice
Very nice course with lots of water and lots of doglegs. Very good condition and the pace of play was great - 3.5 hours with a threesome. Nicest course I have played in the area.
Legend oaks
Greens are in great shape once again. Course was beautiful.
Best condition in years!
I have played this course since Dr. Way first started it as a nine hole course. I was pleasnatly surprised at the conditon of the course when I played it last week. Newly installed greens, excellent fairways. The best conditon ever! Congratulations Jim and staff.
Public Course with GPS
Great time at this course staff is very friendly and I'm amazed that a public course provides GPS MAJOR PLUS!! I will most definitely be back to play more rounds here and would recommend this course to everyone no matter skill level!
SLOW
I was not made aware of the fact that Legend Oaks was having a children's tournament the day I played. I would have been nice for someone to inform me of that before I went out there. I think it is great that more young people are taking up the sport, but you should let people know before they drive 40 min to play. Also, when you have a foursome of 8 year olds accompanied by their parents you should suggest they let a single player play through. Again. Some of the kids were great players and I saw some good sportsmanship, but a heads up would have been nice when I was just sneaking out for a quick 9 holes
