Tudor Oaks Inn
About Tudor Oaks Inn
The Tudor Oaks Inn in Summerville, South Carolina, is a small outpost with only three rooms named after famous golf courses in Scotland (St. Andrews), England (Sunningdale) and Ireland (Royal Dublin). It sleeps only six, but staying has its perks: Access to the golf and tennis at the adjacent semiprivate club, the Legend Oaks Golf & Tennis Club, which offers the Bistro One18 restaurant. Tudor Oaks Inn, which also has an outdoor pool, is located within 25 minutes of Charleston and near three large plantations worth touring - Middleton Place, Magnolia Plantation and Gardens, and Drayton Hall.Facts

A must play if you are in the Charleston SC area
A beautifully design course. A lot of fun to play!
Best Golf Under $80 in the Charleston Area
Friendly and accommodating staff. Great course design and overall layout. The greens were quick, spotless and consistent across the whole course. The conditions were what you would expect of a course that costs twice as much as this. The GPS on the cart was a great feature as well. Overall, this course and it's facilities far exceeded my expectations. If you live in the Charleston area this is a must play course (I have played virtually all of them public and private)!
Great course for the price
Haven't played this course in a while. Heard they replaced all the greens recently and thought I would check it out. Great golfing experience and can't wait to play there again.
Super shape course
All was great. Tee boxes, fairways, greens. When you play, pick the correct "T"s and really enjoy the game of golf. Would most definitely play this course again.
Beautiful greens!
Very nice course. Enjoyable for all skill levels. Beautiful greens!
A day at the Oaks
legend oaks is always a fun and challenging coarse.the coarse was in great shape and the greens were near perfect. watch out for # 10, talk about threading a needle on the second shot! had a great day and would recommend this course. cart mounted gps and scoring was a nice bonus. D.
Challenging course
Played from the tips to keep the driver in play. Most holes really narrow towards the green (trouble everywhere). I think there might be a lot of irrigation system leaks around the greens creating many soggy areas. It is frustrating when the ball plugs when you are hoping for some release. Overall good experience.
Must Play
What a great course for the buck. Greens rolled very true.
Nice day at the golf course
Course was very busy but after a slow 4-5 holes we moved quite well. Played on a Sunday morning on a holiday weekend in 4:12. Course was good shape and the view of 5 baby alligators sunny themselves by #2 green was awesome. GPS on carts always adds to the speed up of play. A very nice feature.
Good time
great course pleasure to play would most definitely play it again
Hidden Beauty in Charleston
I have played a lot of courses in Charleston and I must say this one was worth the drive. Beautiful conditions, great value and the GPS was amazing. Would have been very difficult to play the course without the GPS as there is a lot of water and sand traps.
Staff was friendly.
Course was nice and staff was friendly. Having the GPS tablet was a plus.
this course does not drain well
very wet from rain the day before greens were nice but fairways almost unplayable
Rainy day turned beautiful
Very nice experience. Cart GPS system did not start working until 3rd hole, but was welcome! Lots of water hazards on this course, and some of the hazards have hazards!!! Watch out for the gators. Gator in photo crawled under my cart.
Great Place to Play
Played this course twice this week. Greens have been recently dressed and are in great shape. Challenging course. Every hole is interesting. Very good GPS system shows you exactly how far to each hazard, bunker or water. Makes it easier for those that are playing for the first time. Staff was very nice and they have a nice grill with good food. Very nice day. My son and I played in 3 hours during the week, so pace of play was great. Definitely will be coming back.
beautiful course
Lots of alligators. My wife rode along and enjoyed all the flora and fauna. The live oaks were amazing. Probably in the top 10th percentile in terms of natural beauty.
Also, every tee box, fairway, and green were completely full of grass, and I saw almost no weeds anywhere. Very well kept course.
Great layout
This course has the most up-to-date equipment and a very nice course layout.
Poor greens
Overall fairways were nice but greens need work. Course will be nice once greens grow in.
plenty of water and traps
Though I paid up front at Last Minute Golfer, it was not reflected as such at the Pro Shop. They ended up letting me play anyway without further charged.
New greens review
The long awaited return to one of my favorite courses. Have not been back since the blight last year.
These new zoysia greens are:
-easy
-slow
-straight (no break)
-impossible to dent (if you use your divot tool, it will bend)
-gorge (stunningly perfect, except for a 4"x4" bare spot on one green)
I dont remember this course being in better shape ever. I have never played zoysia greens before, so I dont know if it will remain slow. I am a high handicapper, so I thoroughly enjoyed the easier playable greens. I think I only 3 putted 2 greens, which makes me smile.
