Course has really gone downhill
The course was in rough shape. Greens were slow and very bumpy even when not punched. I’ve played the course a handful of times prior to recently playing it and I enjoyed it before. I don’t think that I will play it again.
Beautiful venue that’s pricey
A beautiful course in a great location that is pricey considering has more par 3’s than your typical course. Pace of play for a Sunday morning was horrendously slow.
Conditions
Terrible greens and very poor grass. Tee boxes have no grass.
Not worth the money - go to the beach.
Greens were rough and very inconsistent.
Sand traps were hard packed with no sand.
Very expensive for the course conditions.
Will not return - go inland.
Incredible
Have never played a Links style course so this was surprisingly amazing. I'm not a scratch golfer by any stretch but felt that I handled the course very well...applying my handicap I was 10 under par. Great course, will play it again if the opportunity arises.
Not worth the money
Greens are rough, long, and slow
One par 5 being played as a par 3
If you travel - do not go here.
We won’t be back.
Not Worth the money!
My wife and I were very disappointed by this course. It had rained the day before so there was standing pools of water all over the course, bunkers, burns etc. we lost 3 balls each in fairway. We Couldn’t find a restroom on the course at all. Also 8 th hole par 5 played as a par 3 because of reconstruction. Greens were mowed terribly but fairways were not riough just off fairway was 4/5 inches so if u found your ball advancing it became a battle. Scorecard not really that helpful to help you avoid trouble. I think under the circumstances a rain check might have been a better offer or at least a heads up about the course. Maybe the links course is better but I wouldn’t spend that kind of money on this course when there are cheaper and much better courses in the area.
Nothing Special
First time playing, course is nothing special. Everyone rants about the views, Holes 17 & 18 was the only time I took my phone out for a picture. Course should be $50-60 but since it’s in a resort they can up charge. I got the golf now deal and I’m a golf pass member so ended up playing for $76 but still questionable at the price. If you never played it’s worth it to go check out but I probably won’t play again. Fairways and greens were in fair condition. One par 5 under construction so there is a total of 5 or 6 par 3s now.
Really enjoyable
This is a very fun course to play, course was in great condition sans a few chewed up tee boxes on the par 3s. The golf carts are absolute crap and need to be replaced, parking breaks that won’t engage and no gps on a course that can cost $280 at a prime time is unacceptable. My park district course has better cart for a $30 round. Other than the carts I loved the course and played it twice in one week.
Terrible Staff
Staff was very rude and unfriendly. Course is in a gated beach community and has a lot of elderly retired people that play there. These people are unkind and unwelcoming to anyone who isn’t part of the community. Would not recommend EVER playing here and will not be returning. Worst place I’ve ever played.
Short course, narrow course with good views
Wish we had realized the greens were being aerated. Couple holes under construction. I’ve played municipal courses in better shape for much less but overall decent course.
Harbor Course
The greens were below average. The beverage cart was never seen during the 4 -5 hours we played. Not worth the money you pay. We do not recommend this course to anyone if you want the bang for your buck!
Plus the guest parking is a total mess!
Good Course - Worth checking out
This is one of those places that’s cool if you’ve never seen. Not something I’d play all the time but definitely some good views, well kept and nice staff. Give it a try
Course could be better
Fairways were in excellent shape; greens in good shape; bunkers in terrible shape;
No sand, for the price you pay for this course you think they could afford to put sand in the bunkers;
Also, some of the mowing lines for the greens could be made bigger; not sure why they make them as small as they can. Also, not sure why the upkeep on this course is not the same as the Links course.
Some easy fixes would make this course so much better and the value would equal the price charged.
Beautiful Resort Links course
Green had been punched a couple days prior, but boy were they still fast and true. Just an impeccable layout with plenty of risk/reward holes. 17 and 18 are gorgeous and you get the full effect of the island/ocean view. My literal only “complaint” is ending on a par 3….but to be fair, I’d complain if Augusta National ended on a par 3
Good course. Value questionable.
Course was in great shape. Lush fairways and receptive greens. The layout is very “squeezed” especially on the front 9. The back 9 opens up a bit. Green fees a little overpriced for what you are getting . With that said, I played it two days in a row due to the convenient location. (I was staying at wild dunes resort.)
