The Bent Creek Golf Village offers relaxation in the Great Smoky Mountain foothills of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The 80 one- and two-bedroom rentals and four cabins come equipped with kitchens, at least one bathroom, laundry facilities and other comforts of home. Guests can stay on property for the indoor and outdoor pools, game room and fitness center or get out and explore the trails of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The onsite 6,182-yard golf course was designed by Gary Player.Facts

Beautiful View, Challenging, but needs some improvements.
The view from this course is amazing with a beautiful creek that runs by most of the fairways. Be careful to not hit the ball too far on some holes because the creek runs across the fairway. There are two beautiful dropping par 3 holes that is worth a picture. The staff is very friendly. Most greens are rough with some patches of dead grass and weeds. The cart paths has a lot of pot holes but some of the paths are very scenic and enjoyable to ride. I would play this course again because of the view and challenging holes, but only if could play it again at half price. It’s currently not worth paying full price. With some upgrades, this course would be amazing.

What happened?
I live an hour away, I had played this course a few times hadn't played it in 3 years. The greens were horrible, there used to be a nice snack bar/grille on the turn which is now a dilapidated building that isn't open. The fairways were bare, greens dead except a few splotches of crab grass. The clubhouse was run down it was a very disappointing experience on a golf course that used to be a jewel. I feel like they stole my fees.

Greens need help
Bent Creek is a typical valley course, sitting beneath mountains. Course layout is not very difficult, but you MUST play it a couple times before you realize where you can/not hit.
Greens were ROUGH, and thats being generous. Had aerated a week or so earlier, and they were struggling to heal. Combine VERY SLOW GREENS with numerous pitch marks, and you have a recipe for bad results. Ended up playing 2putt max.
Short course, quirky holes. Nice staff. When greens are good, this is decent little track off the beaten path

Bent creek
Greens were the worst I have ever played. Cart path was beyond repair. Carts were dated. Course construction on back 9. We were only glad that we booked through golfnow and didn't pay 39.00 dollars each.

Nice course
The course has some challenging holes with blind tee shots. First timers (like I was) will be loosing balls from good shots. Places on some holes need water to soft the landing zone. But all things considered, a good course. I would come back.

Worst course ever
We have never played at such a horrible course. They cut the grass on the course and left it laying in piles all over the course. There Are multiple ruts in the first nine. The cart path looks like it’s been bombed and the greens were full of crabgrass and holes.
Just awful. We prepaid for 18 holes but could only do nine Because Of the condition. We complained at registration however the lady just said that that’s the way the course was and gave us no refund
Thank you for your review! We apologize that you didn't enjoy your experience with us. We do empty grass clippings into the woodlines out of play and remove them monthly. This avoids employees dumping clippings in streams or areas of play. We understand our cart paths need improvement and we will be working on them next year. As for the crab grass, our pre-emerge herbicide was washed out first of the season due to almost 80 inches of rain. As there is no post emerge herbicide for these weeds in bent grass turf, we can only hope for a mild rain season in the spring to correct. We would love for you to see the changes next season. not a course to score well
this course was once a great course, but has been neglected in the past few years. it is a shame because it could be a good course.

Great Fairways
The weather had been very dry. The fairways were in excellent shape considering the dry conditions. Most of the greens were bad, bare spots, crab grass, aeration dimples, but mostly putt-able with ball placement.

Cart Paths dangerous because of disrepair.

Terrible greens
Greens are in very bad shape. Weeds growing on greens and are very slow because of it. Course is beautiful but back 9 way to difficult especially 10 through 15. Save yourself the drive and play in Sevierville!

Bent Creek Golf Course
The front nine is pretty standard and straight forward. The back nine however is outstanding, lots of blind shots, mountain type golf but really good. Had a great time, staff very friendly and helpful.

I played at this golf course today with a couple of friends. The woman working the club house was very professional and respectful. Friendliest staff I have ever met. Would recommend to anyone.

Horrendous greens
This was my first time playing at this course and it was very disappointing. The fairways were in fair condition but the greens were like putting off of shag carpet. They pace of play was unbelievably slow, so much so that myself and the gentleman behind me stopped playing after 9 holes even though I did a hot deal for 18. They also charged me $20 for my dad just to ride in the cart with me. If you’re looking for a 6 hour round then this is the course for you but if not then I’d consider going elsewhere.

Play elsewhere
I played the course for the first and last time. The crab grass, even on the greens. The greens had been aerated and no notice of that in the listing. The carts are pathetic. My cart did not have a brake so it rolled away twice. The trimming around the streams and water were poor. The overall condition is poor. The cart paths were like a war zone road. The asphalt was destroyed. Play elsewhere and enjoy a manicured course.
