Approach to the par-5 14th hole Photo submitted by ShragMagtite on 09/30/2019
Course always in good shape.
The only complaint I ever have with this course is pace of play. The Hot Deals are always in the 11 or 12 o'clock hours and you are always behind groups that play pretty slow. 4 1/2 hours is about average for a Friday afternoon with some rounds slower than that. I love the course and it is always in good conditions.
Don’t play this course if you want to be hounded by the cart rangers. They’re disrespectful and think they run the show. Had a cart ranger pull a gun on a guy in our group. Play here quite often and play the Fairfield courses. Never once have I had to deal with this type of unprofessionalism. Your employees reflect on your business. I don’t think I can play here again until ownership or management has a revamp of policies and new cart rangers.
Very slow greens
In the past the greens have been very good but this year they have been extremely slow for the whole season
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting Lake Tansi Resort, and we hope to see you again in the future.
Outstanding Value
The place is immaculate. The staff exceedingly friendly. Best course I've played in recent memory. In the area for a week and will play it again before leaving. Can't say enough about great things about it.
Tansi Golf
Great parking, check in and staff. Course was in very playable shape considering the amount of rain we had. Greens were great . Rough was very rough. Layout of course is great. I will definitely be returning.
Wonderful course
Played Lake Tansi several times. Course layout conditions were wonderful. Staff accommodating and welcoming and made you feel at home. Played in 3 1/2 hours with several par 4’s cart path only due to wetness. Course is a challenge yet playable. Greens were a little slow but that is due to rain and time of year we played. Fairways in great condition and rough a challenge. Would recommend for all levels of play with 5 sets of tees. Looking forward to visiting the course when back next year.
Great place
Been bring a group here 2 times a year for over 25 years. It is always in Great shape and staff is always friendly.
Consistent
Lake Tansi is always well taken care of. This course, because they over seed) will be green in March when others are still dormant. I did notice about 13 of the 18 greens appeared to be a bit slower but this was probably mostly to guard them from the summer heat.
Love this course
Tee we boxes, fairways and greens are in great shape. Greens had not been mowed since kids were going to play later. So, I was able to make some pits. I think this course can match any course in the county.
Like Playing at Bushwood
This course reminded of Bushwood on Caddieshack. Old school country club feel, but the course was in great shape and was a good challenge. The only negative I can say is that we teed off before a game that I guess the locals have routinely, and we teed off at 1pm. We were a foursome playing our own balls, and the game behind us was a scramble, so they were pushing us hard and we had to rush for the first several holes. Nothing that could be helped, but it made a pleasant round not as enjoyable. I would recommend this course and I would go back and play again any day.
Not disappointing
Nice course, decent layout. Course looks good, for me there’s too much grass which sounds funny, but ball sits down in fairways too much making it more like a first cut than fairway, and greens were quite slow. I think most anyone that plays will enjoy the course but beware as a twosome you’ll be waiting on most every hole for the groups in front.
Thank you so much for leaving us with your feedback. We value our customer experience, so your review is important to us. We will make note and we hope to see you back at Lake Tansi Resort!
It doesn’t get much better
This place is always in great condition. I drive from Cookeville to play here at least 3 times a month. It’s the best around IMO.
Another day of wonderful golf
Kicked off week of golf with Lake Tansi. Had not played this course in some time. Was very pleased with overall conditions. Course had some challenges but tees allowed various skill levels to enjoy the round. Although a "resort course", did not feel cramped or hemmed in by homes. Weather was outstanding which always helps. Staff was courteous and a couple of the players had breakfast, which was plentiful and good. Look forward to my next trip up the mountain.. Biggest issue with Crossville area is limited dining options.
