The signature 7th is a prime example: beautiful, offers a risky opportunity and a safe one as well. Photo submitted by u388669693 on 07/06/2019

Great course
Course was in great shape and greens played very good. Only issue was cart girl availability. We finally got her on the last hole of the round.
Resort fun
More enjoyable of the two La Cantera courses. Not as many blind shots. Greens are tricky. Staff is friendly. Conditions are always good. Always a good choice for a solid round of golf. Enjoy.
Hill Country best
The La Cabrera’s Resort course is one of the hill country’s best. I like this one better than the Palmer. It plays a few shots easier in my opinion. Greens are fast and fun. Being in the right spot is a must to score well. Go play and enjoy.
Firm. Fast. One of the best.
Played on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. The greens were firmed up a bit (perfect) and extremely fast. With the slopes, a two putt here is a very good thing. If playing soon, most tees are generally moved up a box, so play back one set. Gold/silver will suffice for most. Try to be cognizant that many greens are multiple tiered. So getting the right tier is of utmost importance if trying to score well. Go play and enjoy, one of the best in San Antonio.
Top 3 Course in SA
Course is majestic. If you’re looking for a great course with great scenic views or want to impress somebody, this is a great choice. Elevated shots. Challenging holes. Great green fairways. Tea boxes need a little work but not too bad. Greens are tough due to lots of slopes but roll true. Lots of risk reward. Worst part of the course is the greens don’t catch any shots so you can’t play any spin or check shots on the greens, but that’s ok because it presents another challenge & they are all consistent. Overall, 5/5 stars. Can’t wait to come back here already!
Beautiful course with outstanding views from elevation. Challenging, but fun if you can hit it long. Greens are very good and will keep you grinding to try and understand which way the ball will break due to the influence of the hills.
Go play
Just go play. Enjoy the experience. Conditions were excellent. The range is amazing. Greens are fantastic. Go and enjoy.
Second class citizen
I have played this course a number of times. I actually have their “twosome card.” But this time I booked through Golfnow because they beat the course rate considerably (not to mention I cannot use their own booking engine with my iPhone). I was treated like a second class citizen which the pro shop staff member actually said was because I booked through Golfnow. I even left before getting to play forfeiting my pre-paid round because of how I was treated. I am in absolutely no hurry to give this course any more of my money.
La Cantera
Great golf course. Greens are very good and the golf course is in great shape.
Great Course
Great course with an awesome staff. On course beverages are pretty expensive as well as being expensive even during happy hour at the 19th hole.
Cool day but a great round
Weather was cool staring early this am but warmed up. Fairways were in good shape. Greens Rolled well and seemed quick but not crazy fast. This is a resort course so not the longest, or the most difficult in the area but it has very scenic views but still a challenging layout. This course is a good example of Hill Country golf.
La Cantera Resort course review
The course was amazing, each hole had its own beautiful view, and the course was maintained perfectly, I loved golfing the course and simply had a great time.
Amazing place! Go play!
Top notch course a players course! But friendly enough for the handicapper at the forward tees! People were fantastic and the attention to detail including every aspect of the place was Outstanding!
Great day on links
Conditions of course good during range quite beat up. Pace was reasonably good but group in front constantly prodded to speed up as they were behind 30+ minutes but never picked it up. Greens good shape but had difficulty reading them.
