About Moody Gardens
Moody Gardens is a large resort and attraction area with a hotel, conference center and 18 holes of golf in the coastal town of Galveston, Texas. It is well known for its three pyramids home to an aquarium and rain forest attractions. It has not only an onsite waterpark but is next to Schlitterbahn as well. There are six dining concepts, as well as a spa and fitness center. It's within easy access to historic downtown Galveston, Pleasure Pier and the beaches. The golf course originally opened in 1989 but was totally redesigned by Peter Jacobsen and Jim Hardy in 2008. This watery layout features scenic views of the gulf, bridges and bayous, and the back nine plays alongside the small Galveston airport. The course is links-inspired with gulf breezes and wall-to-wall paspalum turf. Historic Galveston is less than an hour's drive from downtown Houston, making Moody Gardens a popular day trip destination as well as for weekend vacation getaways.Facts

Great Golf Course
Just a great golfing experience. Greens are perfect and the course is always in great shape.
Respect fir course
nice course, have played several times. There seems to be no interest in encouraging players to respect course.
1 no one repairs ball marks on greens
2 Carts are driven vey clise to greens... ni signs for” no carts past here”
3 no respect for wetlands... people walk in marsh grass and ricks dumped over marsh grass re erosion
Great Place. I will add to my courses to play.
This course has a lot of class. From hard to read greens to trouble if you do not hit the fairway. This place does not disappoint.
Great course, bad mosquitos!!!!
Great course, greens were awesome, Fairway is for Craig. The mosquitoes were overwhelmingly horrible. You can’t stop for more than a second, even when you’re driving there swarming the golf cart. It made for a very unpleasurable experience.
Take off spray
Make sure that you take a can of off spray for certain.

Amazing conditions!
One of my new favorite tracks. I was worried about not having a good golf course near our beach condo but Moody Gardens exceeded my expectations. Incredibly friendly staff, Great practice area, and brand new carts with cell phone charging ports. Can’t wait to play again.

Course is great. Staff or management have issues.
This course is always in great condition. The wildlife is great to see. The main issue is how staff is dealing with handing our carts for covid. They are supplying individual carts and that is appreciated. The are handing out keys that have to match the cart. Well, the cart was not in the first few rows and I was not going to spend my time looking for it. I had to come back off the practice tee to get a cart that matched the key. The cart was in the back row and not on the end. The carts need to be easier to find!!!!!!!! Some of the staff seemed to care. They guy in the cart barn did not seem to care at all.

The weather was great. The course was great. My game was a little under my usual score. Overall a satisfying round of golf at a great course.

The only reason I gave course condition a good is the sand traps but I understand why they are that way. It won’t keep me from coming back!

The BEST Gulf Coast Course in Texas
Moody Gardens Golf Course in Galveston Texas is by far best on the gulf coast and so worth a visit if you want an enjoyable experience in golf. The course has a great layout, challenging holes, and is well manicured . Wind is often a factor, but this is very nice in a usually steamy hot summer. Pace of play is never an issue with an astute starting guide. I highly recommend this City Course.

Great Course But They Harris’s You
I played the course in June 2018. It was a fun course and in great shape. The only problem I have with it is I was passing through and will not be back that way again. I have been trying to get them to unsubscribe me for over TWO YEARS!!!
