Moody Gardens

Played this summer with my son. The constant breeze from the Gulf of Mexico helped keep us from overheating, which made the round more enjoyable. Great course design and the course is kept in excellent shape. Fairways and tee boxes are immaculate and the greens rolled true. There's a good diversity to the hole designs and most of the fairways are generous allowing plenty of room for high handicappers (and room when the wind re-directs your ball). Friendly staff and excellent practice facilities also. Loved playing there and would recommend the course to anyone especially during the usual blistering hot summer months in the Houston area.

First time playing here, I got a great price on golf now. Was very surprised by this course. Fairways were nice as were the greens. Plenty of water to make this course challenging. I strongly recommend playin here.

We have visited Galveston many times and have never played golf here. It started when we walked in to the club house. The staff there was really friendly and very helpful the guy helped explain the course to us and helped us with any questions that we had. We got our carts and went to the range and it was in excellent condition. Once we got to start playing it was a fantastic course to play. The greens and fairways were perfect to play that morning. It really was the perfect place to play and really gave the feeling like you were playing on an island. We really enjoyed the course and we will definitely be back to play again.

I have visited Galveston for many years and had a great time but never played the golf coarse. What a big mistake on my part. The coarse is in great shape. The fairways are prestine and the greens are like carpet. By far the best coarse I have been on this year. Trent yourself to a great day of golf, go play Moody Gardens you want be disappointed.

3rd time to play Moody and it's always a pleasure. Great practice area and great course.

Had a wonderful time on this well maintained and manicured course. It played very fair even with some tight fairways and lots of water.

Well maintained course! Several holes are very challenging so be careful. #8 ate my lunch! Well, a grackle actually did eat my lunch! Fun layout that rewards good shot making. Friendly, efficient staff.

The course was in excellent shape, the staff was friendly, and the facilities were great.

Tee to green the course was in great shape. The greens were aerated about a month before we played but had filled in nicely and were rolling great.

Pace of a play was a bit slow for a weekday morning but the marshal was great in coming around multiple times letting us know they were trying to get a particular group moving.

Overall another great visit and well worth the drive and the money.

This course is beautiful and very well maintained. Lots of water so if you cant keep em straight or don't hit em long bring extra balls. I will play this course many more times. I loved it. Played with my GF and her biggest complaint is the ladies tees on par 3 hole were a joke. she could put the ball to the green on some of them

Took my 16 yr old son to play for the first time. Course was in great shape especially the greens! We will definitely go back. #hiddengem

We ed played the course many times when we come to the island. The course always is a challenge and is maintained well. When the wind blows the challenge goes up. We played for two days and enjoyed both rounds. We play the back tees downwind and the next up tees into the wind This provides an enjoyable experience without making it too difficult. Will be back again

Greens were in awesome shape the pro shop told me that they were not in the greatest shape just yet but they were great to me other courses I played the greens look like bunkers but I will play this course soon when I'm in Galveston area.

The course was in great condition and the staff from the cart lady to the Pro shop was great.

I enjoy everything about this course, it's so much fun to play. You have to like to play in windy conditions to appreciate it. The layout is great and super friendly staff.

Great golf, on the Bay! This course is located in a beautiful neighborhood, has well kept greens and is challenging / fun for anyone! One of the best public courses i've played! There is an abundance of wildlife on this course, you never know what you're going to see, fins feathers and fur. Very reasonably priced!

I have played them all and Moody is by far the best course in the Galveston area. The course has a challenging links layout is and the condtion of the course, particular the greens are outstanding. They are true and fast...Congrats to the staff..... Keep up the good work.....

Plays along a lot of water. Water fowl abundant. Get ready for wind. Course kept in superb condition.
