Carson Hot Springs Golf Resort & Spa
About Carson Hot Springs Golf Resort & Spa
The Carson Hot Springs Golf Resort & Spa in the Columbia River Gorge features a historic hotel completed in 1901, as well as cabins and a bathhouse added in 1923. The bathhouse offers a traditional experience with clawfoot tubs and vintage stylings. Mineral water is pumped directly into the tubs for an all-natural, healing bath, which can followed by a linen wrap and massage. There’s a restaurant at the resort and another one inside the clubhouse of the Elk Ridge Golf Course, a 6,461-yard layout dating to 2006. The outdoor pursuits of the region – hiking, biking, wineries and horseback riding – are at your fingertips.Facts

great new design
Once the yardage markers fully installed and greens recover from aeriation this will be a great course. Great design, always playable and friendly staff.
The best course in the Gorge
WIth its large greens and heavy rough this links style course will challange you every time you play. The nicest course in the Gorge, hands down.
great condition for spring play
No walking around muddy/soggy areas on this course. Sand traps with lots of soft consistent sand, greens are very good and fairly smooth and lots of break for your "reading pleasure". I would say for this time of year it is the most playable course in the Columbia Gorge. The only possible negative is a little bit of "lack of interesting holes", as it doesn't require you to get too creative or shape a lot of shots. Definitely "walkable" although you may need a moment to catch your breath on the #2 tee, but use that moment to enjoy the amazing views that are available from every hole on the course. I've played this course from it's earliest days and it is currently in the best condition it has ever been in and hopefully will just continue to get better with time,
Driest course around.
Good value on golfnow.com. Played course right after 2 rainy days and no soft spots on the course. Lots of roll in fairways for this time of year. Greens are smooth and a little slow but better than most. Driest course around.
wind changes make challenging play
nice course. needs golfers to keep it going. could be a super coure in future with faster tighter greens.played six times since jan 1 super dry.have not had a straight putt yet. veiws are excellent.need to run more specials to get it up and running.way to nice to lose this course even with the longer drive to carson
A beautiful new course with great scenery.
This is a fun course to play with long holes and excellent greens. The overall course condition was exceptional!
The staff was courtious and they have a nice bar/grill.
It was about a 50 minute drive from Vancouver but well worth it.
Very good course, amazing staff
This is an easy open layout with tough greens. Well maintained, and worth the $20-30 you'll pay. Round comes with cart and range balls too. When I played, there was a huge hail storm that blew through, the lady in the club house let me get some shelter and gave me a free cup of coffee. When I got back out, the course was still bone dry. My new favorite in SW Washington, by a landslide.
Amazing. large undulating greens.
The greens were a little slow, but well maintained and difficult to read at times. Some elevation changes requires an extra club or 2, but not on every hole and nothing drastic. Some hazards, but playable for beginners. Not crowded - I was late for my tee time, but still hit a small bucket and putted and rolled right off the first tee at my leisure - the staff was very friendly. Worth the drive.
Great Views of the Columbia River Gorge!
If your tired of playing the wet/muddy courses of the metro area, give Elk Ridge a try. We've played it several times this winter, and it's DRY!! Fun to play and the price is right.
Great progress in conditions of course, being new and all. Greens are awsome
The person who greeted us was terrific. Really busy but still took time to take care of everyone. She even went beyond her expected duties to support my physica needs
Great In Winter!
Skamania was closed and decided to try Elk Ridge. What a surprise to find Elk Ridge dry as a bone! Heard some other golfers say this was their favorite course from Pendleton to Portland.
Very reasonable rates, nice facility, fabulous food and friendly service. I will definitely be back - great value for the money!
Excellent Time!
Had such a great time at Elk Ridge! The course is magnificent and the views and second to none. I grabbed lunch afterwards at the clubhouse, the food was great and the tables overlook the course. Elk Ridge is definitely my first pick for golfing in the Portland/Gorge area and I will for sure be back!
Great Course!
I dropped in by a whim and didn't regret it. The course conditions are amazing. The Gorge views were fantastic. I look forward to playing on the course again and recommend it to everyone.
The club house serves amazing food and friendly staff. Lots of space in the driving range, great hours and plenty of parking.
driest course around when rains hit.
Enjoyable course, beautiful views, excellent challenging greens. Links style forgiving course.
Nice course in the making
They have done a tremendous amount of work to this course to get it in a playable condition and are continuing to do so. If they continue to do as good a job this will be a very nice & reasonably challenging open course with beautiful views of the columbia river gorge.
