Fairways ok. Tees need work. 1/2 traps need sand. Greens have issues. Dirt and rocks just off fairway on a few holes. Carts are good and include gps but not accurate pin positions. Fall play includes tons of leaves and you will lose balls even in fairway. Golf now, $25 on Saturday. Would never pay regular fee here.

Some definite improvement at Mountain view. Greens were decent except a few spots here and there. They tried to keep the pins away from the problem areas. Rough is still fairly high but manageable. Fairways are in reasonable shape. It's all relative to the cost which is around $20-$25. It's hard to maintain a golf course, especially with the staffing issues Morgantown presents. Glad to see the course moving in the right direction.

Lakeview( Mountainview ) is a good golf course for many reasons. The value you get for your money is definitely the biggest reason. You simply can’t beat it. Staff is friendly, layout is nice, good pace of play and overall great time. Definitely recommend this course.

All fairways need to have the crabgrass skimmed off and replanted... Same with the greens.. Dead spots, diseased and horrible to play on.

Course set in and surrounded by million dollar homes and to have this course go so far down hill over a several year period. Spend the money to fix and more will come to play.

Tons of potential, just seemingly neglected for that past few years.

For 22$, its worth it just to get outside and hit some balls around.

The course was not to bad for $35. Some tee boxes are beat up. Greens have a lot of ball marks but they do have a lot of slip and we’re dater than expected.

Tight course Would be nice to have the second 9 near the clubhouse or halfway house for drinks. The pro shop could off erf this up when first going out to load up the cooler.

GPS on the cart was unexpected for $35.

Looks like they are remodeling the hotel that is connected to the pro shop.

Course overall was nice…. Grass was a little longer than normal everywhere. Especially around the tee boxes and greens. The worst part of the whole experience was the bathrooms and upkeep on trash…. Every can was full around the clubhouse even though the course was not busy and the bathrooms looked like a high school science project. I almost didn’t want to use them. They were disgusting.

Over the years Imhave played this course numerous times, did not play there through covid, when we played recently the course was a HOT MESS!

Tee boxes needed repaired, fairways used to be very well kept, plush and no issues with crab grass , weeds etc.

Now when we played the fairways were nothing but crab grass and other non golf weeds, totally looking like a cow pasture.

The greens were diseased, bald spots and poorly maintained.

This course needs a major overhaul to get it back to a suitable playing condition.

The golf carts were good but the GPS didn’t work on one of our carts,

No rangers to keep the pace of play moving,

I’m going to think twice before playing here again until they improve conditions and overall playing experience.

It's hard to describe how poor the conditions are at this course, and it's absolutely ridiculous that someone from Lakeview/Mountainview responds to the reviews on here and says they will work to address the problems; they clearly don't have any interest in doing so. I've never played a course in worse shape, and I usually play rather inexpensive courses.

Greens are in awful shape with tons of bare spots and massive sand wasp holes. They did mow the rough at least a bit sometime before we went out this time. Instead of the most poorly maintained rough I have ever experienced (10+ inch-long weedy rough right off the so-called fairways), it was now down to about 6" in most places with "only" quite a lot of clumps of unraked grass clippings in most places instead of an insane amount of clumps of unraked grass clippings everywhere. Fairways are hit and miss... there is a good bit of crab grass in the best ones, and the worst ones are full of weeds and crabgrass and very poorly mown. There are literally big pieces of black plastic sticking up through the sand in all of the bunkers, most of which are completely unplayable.

The bright side; they've finally dropped the rates, presumably due to the deplorable condition of a once-nice course. That at least makes it a semi-feasible choice as a last resort when times aren't available anywhere else.

As a regular patron I have watched the gradual decline of this once elite course. there were attempts to improve the course conditions earlier, It appears that they have given up on getting the facility back to championship form. Further, course management is non existent and novice golfers tear up whats left of the course with un-repaired ball marks and divots.

The cart paths are atrocious and the greens are in horrible shape.

Io pains me to write this but it is no longer a must play course.

Course layout is great, nice views, open and challenging! However, I should have known this course was awful when I saw how dirty the carts were! the course conditions are absolutely terrible. You could not tell the difference between the rough and the fairway. The grass was not collected from last mowing. Greens and in terrible shape and have dead spots all over them. The bunkers had grass growing out of them. Crabgrass all over the greens. I planned to play 18-holes, stopped playing after hole 6 and went home! This is the first time I would rather leave a course rather than playing. Million dollar homes surrounding a course in the poor of a condition is not a good look! I will not play here ever again!

Course was a little rough. Greens had some really bad bare spots. Some tee boxes had really bad bare spots. Carts we nice with the gps.
