Great service, nice course.
After playung the Trevino course, I was impressed with the service and the course. So, much so, we decide to come back again and try the Palmer course, once again the service was outsanding and couse was in great shape. The only negative was the threesome playing front my group was so slow, it was a crime on a hot and humid day.
They where hitting from 3 different tees, where one was sending scuds out of bounds and other 2 maxed at 100 yards, then they would look for the scud and the return for the closest ball. This caused almost a 5 hour round for no reason.
Tee Boxes Need Help
Mostly great, but a lotta rangers and no action. Tell people which tees to play from or everyone waits for them all day since they will be holding up the course.
Geneva National Gary Player
Course conditions were fantastic, not a blemish on the course. Layout is fun, extra par 3/5 works great for playing but hurts length of play. Lots of waiting on par 3’s then getting caught up and waiting on par 5’s.
Getting cart was confusing, they couldn’t find my cart/name and they young girl said “it should be obvious” not very pleasant. She ended up giving em a cart with no name placard because mine was not found. No big deal, but I’m not an idiot young lady.
Pace of play on Monday was terrible, no marshal once. Then when teeing off Wednesday as a 3, starter said we need to get going so I let him know we are 3 and we will not be behind and that Monday we waited all day and nobody was working the course for pace of play.
Of course we waited on hole #2 and then on out.
Gos on carts were way off starting on hole 10. I met marshal know. Marshal was kind and pleasant all day Wednesday and it was still a fun round.
Bar and cart staff and 9 hole (Sedona) were all fantastic.
We will see you again, thanks for the awesome maintenance and layout.
Amazing course
Awesome course, honestly one of the best I’ve played at. Great amenities including range balls. Staff was friendly and food was great. Speed of play was a bit slow but that is not the course’s fault. Recommend 10/10
five and a half hrs and still 3 holes to play
It was hot and humid and there was an outing ahead of us. The round took 5 1/2 hrs to play 15 holes. We left. No idea what the groups ahead of us were doing, but it wasnt playing golf. People should know better.
Challenging course but fair with friendly and courteous staff.
Lives up to the hype
Excellent layout, near pristine conditions. Greens were difficult yet navigable. All in good to great conditions minus the amateurs hours not repairing pitch marks. Fairways were well kept except for a few collection areas where divots weren’t replaced or sanded by the amateur hours. Would have helped playing with some one who knew the course a bit better because just because you have a great drive down the open side of the fairway does not mean you will have any sort of approach shot. Solid amount of undulating fairways which truly determine your second or even third shots. Most sand traps were large and demanding of a pitch out. They add to the beauty of the course and yes there are a lot of them. Only turf concerns are some roughs had a weird fungus but honestly it didn’t effect lie or shot making. 17th green along lake Como drew a crowd of kayakers and canoes who actually cheered our approach shots which was pretty neat. It must be odd reading that because I’m a pretty big deal and all.
Great track, great price on a Sunday morning, finished our round in 3.5hrs no pressure no wait. Looking forward to playing the Trevino and Player courses in the coming months.
Free driving range balls. Practice green was a little strange but it is a possibility we didn’t see all of them. Great swag in the pro shop it was really early so not much to report on staff outside the fact that no one drove our bags to the car and we weren’t allowed to take our cart.
Quality golf in lake geneva
The staff could not have been friendlier, inviting, it was a wonderful time.
Coming along nicely
Most of the renovations have matured in, so it'sin pretty nice shape.. Friendly layout for all golfers. All of the condos and houses kind of ruin it a bit for me. Still worth a play.
