Glad you said the point is to square the clubface at impact, not close it. If I set up with the face square to my start line at address and swing on a slight arc, the face will open and close relative to the start line as I swing back and through, but it will remain square to the arc unless I change the face angle and will again be square to the start line at impact. In the past when I have tried this feel of letting the toe pass the heel, I began pulling the putts because I was closing down the face at impact, not squaring it. In that regard, it looks like you pulled all three of the demonstration putts you made (if you were putting on a flat section of the green and were lined up correctly). It's a feel that certainly works for Tiger, but we need to be cautious with it. Anyway, always enjoy your teaching - thanks for all you do to help us improve!

Martin - great tips thanks again and will try next time on the practice green.
One serious question - if practice putting one handed is so good, why add the second for the 'real' putt?
I have used the one hand on the practice green and found it very useful, but have not carried it onto the course, I guess partly because self consciously I felt it may look "dorky" (for want of a better word).
Do any pros putt one handed? Has Tiger in any serious competition? If not, why not?

Light bulb moment for me Martin. I have ALWAYS missed putts to the right , especially short putts. Cannot wait to try this tip to all putts but most importantly to short putts. I will also happily send you my feedback.
Cheers
Peter
