Devan, I'm trying to understand the "matching the face with the shaft" idea. I'm not sure what lines (or leading edge)of the wedge face that should line-up with the shaft?

Great tip, however, I have one question... your clubface was slightly opened, which I get for the extra loft, but I noticed that the shot ended up slightly to the right of the pin... should the clubface be facing (even though it is open), more to the pin?

Hopefully this helps my confidence in these 40-80 yard shots. I always find them tricky!

Thanks Devan. You've helped my game tremendously!

Good tip, Devon and I have worked on my short game more than any other area the past year. Question for you is, what if that 40 - 80 yard shot is from deeper rough? That has been an issue for me this year.

In my bag I have attack, pitching, 58 and 60 wedges. Which should I be hitting from 90 to 110yds. 70 to 90yds and 40 to 70yds. This summer is the 1st real sign of my game improving in a long time. Although the last 6 weeks I have been struggling with my wedges. Thank you Bernie
