So John, you didn't explain what it means to release the club face. How do you do that?
What does release the clubhead mean?
Thanks John. Great set up!
Been struggling with hitting a high draw lately, this will help.
If this thank you is for me you’re welcome
You’re the best John!
Thank you!
Definitely trying this the next time I play. I tend to play the ball further back and end up pushing my iron shots.
Might be catching too inside playing it too far back. True
I have tried this before and it seems I often bottom out on my swing resulting in fat shots.
Then maybe not a great feel for you. It’s a general tip so possibly not perfect for your swing.
Is it normal, when swinging, in to out, for your club face to twist clockwise? I noticed in the video, that your club had a pretty good twist after hitting the ball. I usually tend to hit it more toward the heel.
That’s just from playing my entire life. I don’t purposely do that anymore. I did when I was 12. But yes some of my students have to actually twist the shaft so to speak as a feel to get the toe of the club beating the heel into impact.
Hi Debbie, where should the ball position be on a 56° wedge or approach wedge? Thank you Wes
Tried this today at the driving range. Most of my shots faded instead of drawing. When employing this technique with irons what adjustments would you recommend.
I would drop your right foot back some Good point. Ball forward can encourage your shoulders to then aim left.
Good question. Depends on ability. Stock shot I like it just forward of center for the reasons above. Hope it helps !!
Great tip
