OK. This looks all well and good... as long as the sand in the bunker is soft. That type of sand is not the norm to many of the affordable clubs here in the Northeast. How about a tip for hitting bunker shots out of less then optimal sand?
Thanks. I've been doing this for years after going to the Pelz short game school. For bunker shots up to about 15 yards, I use the LW, for 15-25 I use the SW and for longer shots I use the GW. It works great and you're not trying to take a massive swing for the long shots, which only produces more spin and makes the ball check up.
This is such a great tip and appears to be one of the golf secrets that was held for decades by a lot of folks at a certain level of the game
