Handshake Chipping Feel

Is this the opposite of what Joseph Mayo teaches (steep, keep clubface closed, etc.) for minimizing errors and movement in chipping?
Tried this today and it worked so well that my playing partner wanted to know what I was doing that caused such improvement. Shared the tip and it worked for him too! Not one chunk today. Thanks!!
Easy to remember and EXACTLY what I needed!!! I have been trying to figure out the swing for such shots and am looking forward to using this technique!
