Thanks Randall, great information. I've dealt with back problem with golf for a long time. I wish I knew this a long time ago, but with this great tip I'm looking forward to trying this and hopefully start enjoying golf without the back pain. Thanks again.
This is one of the best swing tips for ending back pain. Glad you liked it. Keep me posted on how you are doing. Follow me on @golfnetics for more tips. I have several more coming right here on Golf Pass
Is this with irons only or driver too
Absolutely this is for irons and wedges. Feel free to follow me on @golfnetics for more tips. I have several more coming right here on Golf Pass
This is a great video. I am currently suffering from heel shots and back pain. I tend to have a double fault. I tend to slide my hips forward too much and get under the swing and hook.
Question: To get your right hip over shoe laces, how does your right leg need to move, more lateral instead of out? What about getting off your right side too fast and working to keep right heel down longer?
I would not worry about getting off your right side too fast of keeping your right heel down longer. If you move the front of your right hip over the top of your left shoe laces for a right handed golfer your hip and footwork will automatically align. The spin out happens with the front of the right hip moves out over the front of the left hip. Don't overthink it. Follow me on @golfnetics for more tips. Pushing the right hip through seems to be helpful for me for clearing out to make better contact. Looking forward to practicing this.

Outstanding tip on hip movement that looks subtle to the golfer but (as you point out) is CRITICAL to stress on the back. Thanks Mr. Hunt!!!!!

I can't wait to take this tip to the driving range. I'm currently a 15.5 handicap but have been challenged by early extension and heel shots for the longest time. I really hope this works for me - I will circle back at a future date with my results. Thank you.

THank you, from a low pain sufferer and early extender, causing the awful “ pitchout”….
Something for me to work on.
Hi Dixie! glad you liked the tip. let me know how it goes. Follow up at @golfnetics on instagram for more tips and learn more at www.golfnetics.com. More tips coming soon right her eon golf pass.
Love the tip.... a small but vital directional cue... I've seen a couple videos of my swing when I did this, and it matches up with well-struck shots. My wife asked me if I ever hurt myself golfing... and my answer was 'only when I swing badly!"
Jeffery this is so true for so many golfers. It's amazing how close bad movement is tied to pain in the golf swing. Let me know how this tip works for you. Follow up at @golfnetics on instagram for more tips and learn more at www.golfnetics.com. More tips coming soon right here on Golf Pass.
G'day Randall, Thank you for this explanation, I may be suffering from this flaw - corrective action will start soon. I note you have a tonne of professional clients - do you weigh them and add them up. I have no idea how to measure a tonne of space. Unfortunately, I hear " a tonne of" sports commentators noting a tonne of just about anything. Sorry, I am 80+ and a pedantic person.
Hi Terrance, space is the area between the grip of the club and your body at impact. The more your body (hips) moves in toward the ball at impact the less space you will have. If you know the space between hands and body need more room, stick your rearend further out so you can lean over more and still keep the arms vertical.
