Very awesome and informative lesson. I have been struggling with greenside bunker shots for over 20 years and no one, I mean no one has explained it in terms like this to me before. I tried your approach in a practice bunker and behold it works. I was always told to dig your feet in, put your weight on the front foot and it's your regular swing just hit 4 inches behind the ball. The 95% key for me in your instruction was DON'T TURN YOUR HIPS, USE YOUR WRIST AS THE SWINGING POINT AND DON'T LET THE HANDLE GO FORWARD PAST THE BALL!!! That was the key for me. This is nothing like my regular swing.....nothing like it whatsoever! All those people telling me I was hitting too much of the ball or too much of the sand were full of it! This shed the light for me. I was stuck in the nightmare of digging in the sand too much. Thank you so much for this enlightening tip!
Great dril
absolutely the BEST drill! Thank-you Natlie
how to save "learn to skim the sand"
This is really very usefull
What about the longer shots out of the bunker [e.g. fairway bunkers] ?
What are the wrists doing through the shot?
The lies are not that good under the trees or in the rough. Perhaps the same tip with higher grass.
Do you ever turn your shoulders in the sand?
