With the longer 46 or 50 degree sand shot, do you take a more vertical backswing, as with a shorter sand shot?

Thanks for that tip! It's really helpful.
How do you make adjustments when bunker conditions change? EX: hitting out of a dirt trap where the "sand" is no where near as fluffy or almost hard pack? A SW has generally dug in too far and chunked the shot bc trying to keep my normal bunker type swing.
