Clay Ballard
Clay Ballard breaks down a great drill that will help you create lag and speed at impact. By developing lag at the correct point in the swing you will quickly start hitting the ball farther. Watch now!

SLO-mo would be helpful !
Perhaps the most helpful exercise for my increasing my driver distance, thank you!
Thanks for the tip. Tee it high or low? I generally tee the driver lower more than higher. Does this matter with this lag drill?
Thanks again for taking the time
This makes a lot of sense to me. Good thought!
Tried this drill during warmup today, drove well but when I did this right (lag and snap through the ball) I was 15-20 yards past my normal driving distance.. Need to pound 1000 more to ingrain the feeling but firing through the ball was priceless for me... not AT the ball
I keep wrist straight/ loose going back, but when I lag at transition, my wrist naturally cups (ball goes right) vs that slight bow everyone talks about (saw on video). So to "fight the cup" at transition, I create tension to do that and don't have enough time to whip. Advice?
The best video I've ever seen regarding lag.
Great drill Clay on setting lag. Will use that next time I'm at the range. Thanks.
Great tip
Always great tips thanks Clay
