This is a great drill that I'm using now in my backyard practice area (mat + net). Thank you for this lesson/ drill.
Good tip on using one hand shots in practices/warmups which I think also helps ingrain an even pace for chipping and pitching. Since I tend to be a bit wristy/handsy, my golf coach taught me a pitching technique where I cup the left wrist and open the club face a bit to utilize the bounce and rely on the body rotation you stress without wrist release. This has helped me be more consistent from varied lies. Any thoughts on this technique or variations?
BTW, my golf teacher out here in Oregon is Chad Fribley, and he qualified for and is playing in the upcoming 2026 US Senior Open...Go Chad!!
