Good tips. Poor editing! You put the words where his club was. You can do better!

Thanks for this lesson. Extremely helpful for me. I was stuck on the notion of the pendulum and have been struggling with my putting. Can't wait to try this on the practice putting green.

Hey Martin..4 inch back and 6 inch through
Aren't you really going 10 inches through? (4 +6)
I always thought this is how 'momentum' or forward speed occurred (not 'acceleration')

While this may work for some who are more technical putters rather than "feel" putters, your demonstration did not show anything anywhere near what you intended to do. Six inches back went back 9 inches, that's 50% more!
Also, you didn't account for speed or tempo. Six inches back/eight inches through will result in two very different lengths if one golfer has a leisurely pace as opposed to someone with a quick pace. Nonetheless, I still appreciate and enjoy your videos.

When I was a kid I asked myself a very simple question. I was hitting my drives dead straight over 300 yards. So I asked myself why would I putt any differently than I drive? The answer was no and as a result I was a deadly putter. Now I would like to ask you the reverse question. Since the follow through (not the finish) has a specific limit for each individual golfer, doesn't that 40 - 60 ratio set a limit to the backswing? I ask this because my experience with other sports is that shortening the backswing to a certain point actually increased both speed and accuracy. And, I even read a table tennis article where they set the ratio exactly where you did here.

Ty for the tip. Keeps the swing tempo in pespective

If you look at the slow mo, the back swing actually went back the same as through swing
