What a great drill. Thanks very much! I am struggling with this during most of my rounds; I hit several of irons fat & thin. I have tight traps which exacerbate my head rotation. This is helpful.
I liked this video less than a minute in, when I did a practice swing and realized how far back my head/neck were moving. Great tip!
Always have/get a stiff neck before or after a round. I've always done the opposite...pushed my neck to the left to stretch. This resistance method seems to work better. Welcome more tips on neck and shoulder loosing exercises. Best!
love the straw idea. Already pulled one out for my next trip to the range.
I like this drill. Keeping head quiet so crucial and this is a simple way to practice
Excellent. The neck release works so well. I've battle neck and shoulder tightness for a couple decades since a car accident, and I'm adding this to my stretching routine.
But on your comment about avoiding swaying and/or the need for good timing. It would be great if you did a video on that. Following another GolfPass video, I found I could hit much better iron shots if I shift my weight forward a little at address, then backwards during my backswing, and then forward on my swing. Maybe you could do something on how to harmonize the weight shifting, timing, and keeping the head still.
I can’t get these free lessons to play on my iPad THERES big X in the middle of screen do I need to add an app.
One of the best episodes - thanks, Randall !
Great fix to activate the neck. It works. Wichita
