wonderful insight -- can't wait to use it (and of course not tell my buddies!)
Get some reps in before you head out on the links. It’s a great drill.
I play at several courses similar to Savanah River. The grass surrounding the green or the collar seems to grab the ball on chip shots and takes away much of the energy and the ball does not release to the hole. I can always try to fly it onto the green but it may run too much.
You’ll want to direct that comment to Andrew’s tip. Mine was about early extension. Thx
I have a tendency to thin and chunk chips. It’s driving me crazy!
Can you help as this feels like I have the yips with chipping. I have tried to even the backswing and the follow through, but struggle to keep them the same. It feels like I cannot get the right tempo.help.
Hello Mark, my tip was on an unrelated technique. For chippin, if you were chunking chips, I would begin by getting your feet close together and getting the Club moore vertical, like your putter. Brush the grass and you’ll do great
This is a great drill. I remember doing a similar drill walking forward and hitting shots. Walking backwards really helps get those hips it of the way.
