Thanks for this tip Clay. It has helped me understand what good contact looks like, and why the shaft lean is important. I have been hitting the ball with the heel edge alot, and this booting it low and short. I look forward to practicing and using this drill.
Interesting tip Clay. When performing this drill should the shoulders be aligned along the target line although hips and feet are at 45 degrees open to that line? Secondly do you see any situations on the course when this shot, with it´s superb contact, could be advantageous?
I used to hit my wedges like this and got great contact but got talked away from this by a "better" golfer. This works so well, why wouldn't I want to use it for all my iron shots?
